Amal-- I'd take a blood test to be be sure :) I had a thing a few months ago where my sense of smell went nuts! i could literally smell people from across the giant work counter-- their sweat, their breath, their hair, even really nasty stuff like their "cycles" and what they were eating- -everything! I could smell every little thing about them and even the things they touched! Do you know how disturbing that was? I could smell *them* on my papers and pens, etc. I could smell all kinds of disgusting information about people and I was ready to take something and gouge out the inside of my nose because I was learning way more than i needed to know about people! LOL! Anyway, it went away, but it was right when i was having the miscarriage I had this past fall and the doctor said I was likely in some kind of hormonal change that upped my senses. She said i would likely have to go through this again when we get pregnant another time. So hormones can really cause a huge difference in what you want to eat, what you smell, etc. I just hope I don't have to see anyone when i'm pregnant again-- that was disgusting! DH was OK as a smell but not the other people LOL. As a weird aside, I couldn't get enough of the smell of cauliflower :)

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.

wow, that same thing happened to me this past summer. I could smell ppl when they walked into our pharmacy..I thought it was just coz it was hot outside and ppl were sweaty but maaaaan were they rank...and it was EVERYBODY so it had to have been my senses being elevated for whatever reason. I ate that fish today and surprisingly enough I haven't been sick.. It does nauseate me that I actually ate it..but I couldn't help myself. I also bought a gallon of orange juice and have drank most of it today. I hate cravings. It is like a beast..shows up all of a sudden and......hang on..gotta go get some juice before I kill someone....

yeah anyway, it shows up and takes control no matter what ur involved in... Maybe I'm going through "the change" 20 years early????

I had grand plans last night about how I was going to get up today and get the last of the house unpacked, dishes washed, laundry done, etc. I was awakened from a dead sleep this morning by that horrible rolling urge in my stomach. Complete with that sour dirty-sock salivating thing in my mouth. Why hello! Its my old 'friend' morning-noon-night sickness! Needless to say, I havent gotten much done today. Rats.

Adorable kitties! Nothing much here. I am organizing my schedule for school to not feel so stressed about it and I will start tomorrow on research for these papers as the first four of them are due on Jan. 24th.

Mom is fine this afternoon.......acting like nothing ever happened! My aunt(also a nurse) are trying to convince my to skip her pm dose of insulin at bedtime and set an alarm for 2:00 am so she can check her sugar then. Seems her blood sugar has been bottoming out for about 2 weeks now of and on, but last night was the worst. Of course no one wanted to tell me because I'd worry. Yep...they were right!

I think I'm convinced too coz, as you, the only time I've been able to down a gallon of anything is when I was pregnant the first time. The only thing from allowing me to be completely convinced is the fact that my tubes have been tied for almost 9 years so it is practically impossible for it to happen. If not for that tiny factor...I wouldn't even need a test to tell me. It would be cool though :) but I'm tryin not to get my hopes up.

Jackie, love the pic...priceless

Amy, you could always call ur mama at 2am and say..hey mama, test ur sugar! :)

Amal, I have a friend who got pregnant with twins some years after having her tubes tied.

It might not happen often but it's obviously possible!

Why are you waiting for the blood test? Might as well get it done with eh?

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5
