Ohhhh Amy is your mom going to be ok ????? How frightening !!

Mom is fine now. I called her a few minutes ago and she's starving and wants to go to Bob Evans! I'm going to be making a little trip with her to her doctor on Monday to try to figure this low blood sugar out.

Glad she's feeling much better ! LOL @ Bob Evans -- that's my grandma's favorite, too. She just love her some Bob Evans....

I am dragging today! I got a call from my dad at 2:00 am saying he needed help with my mom. My mom has been a diabetic for years, has had an insulin pump for about 3 years now and typically is cery controlled. Well last night dad said she woke up screaming so he thought she was in pain or something. She was crawling around on the floors and just being crazy. Normally if her bloodsugar gets low, she will wake up, check her sugar and eat something if needed and wake up my dad to sit with her. Well wasn't like that last night. I got there within 3 minutes of the phone call and it was just crazy. Mom was combative, didn't know who I was and couldn't really talk. We had to hold her down to test her blood. It was 25 so I don't know how she was concious. I can't find her glugogon injection, there isn't any juice in the house and by this time things are really crazy. I call 911 and start making sugar water which she told me tasted like ####. Paramedics get there, give her I.Vs and finally she starts to realize who she was and who we were. Dad then left the room and I went in to check on him. Poor man was just crying his eyes out it had scared him so bad. :( Made me realize just how much my parents do love each other. I got home around 5:30 and haven't been to sleep yet. I'm supposed to go help my friend paint their house they are almost done building today, so I need to start drinking massive amounts of coffee!

Oh...Caturday. I'm soooo allergic to this day. :( I really wish I wasn't so allergic to cats! Maybe if I get a cat I can immune myself to it.

Have a great day everyone!

Wow, how scary Amy! I'm glad she is doing good now. Is your dad ok? That must have been heartwrenching for him (well, and you as well). I hope you find the answers when she sees the doctor. Blood sugar is nothing to sniff at.

Hope everyone has a good caturday!

ok ppl, something is up.... I hate fish. The thought of eating it thoroughly grosses me out. I thought it would be nice to cook fish for my husband last night (he loves fish but very rarely does he get it). of course put the leftovers in the fridge. I woke up this morning with the biggest craving for fish..SO I ATE THE LEFTOVERS... AND THEY WERE GOOD!!! :crying: what's wrong with me... :help:

I'd start asking for a blood test now. Could be plain ol hormonal changes too. I was the same with broccoli. I absolutely hated the stuff. Then something happened when I hit the big 30 (among other things LOL!) and I love the stuff! Doc said it could be a fluxuation in my hormones. (as if I wasn't hormonal enough!) :innocent:

I guess if no visitor arrives in the next 2 weeks, I'll ask for a blood test...*sigh*
