Hi guys, my interview is coming up soon, just wanted to make sure i had enough evidence!!

Here's what i have:-

Phone bill - with both our names on it.

Cable bill - with just his name on it (cable co. would only allow one person on bill)

Gas bill - with his name on it (I'm on the account, just doesnt show my name on the bill)

Water bill - with his name on it (my name on account, just not on the bill)

Joint bank account statements spaning the 9 months we've lived in Nebraska

Joint bank account statement from previous address in NC

Credit card statements with his name on it

Auto Insurance - with both our names on it

Medical Insurance policy stating i have benefits with my employer, but only cover me until i'm hired full time. (currently part-time)

Copy of his dad's 2005/2006 tax return and letter from company showing his position in the company as Regional Vice president and his current salary. (already submitted)

Copy of his Mom's W-2 for 2006. (even though i already submitted it)

Copy of Dane's 2005/2006 tax return and paystubs from contractors he does work for, for past 6 months! (previously submitted)

Rental lease with current landlord with both our names on it!

Letter's and card's addressed to both of us!

Marriage Certificate and a few copies

Both our Birth Certificates and copies

My Divorce Decree and Copies

Affidavits from 3 friends (felt we didnt have enough evidence!!)

Cards we sent to each other during the past 2+ years.

50 pictures of us together during various times of the year with friends and family.

Do you think this is enough evidence or is there anything else i should include? Do we really need the affidavits or would we be ok without them?

Thanks,

Maria

You have enough evidence, you'll both do fine! How exciting FINALLY your interview!!

When they say evidence of relationship, I would first just hand over the paperwork with BOTH your names, that is what they are interested in. Like the phone bill, auto insurance, rental lease, and the Affidavits. The Affidavits I feel helped us, so hand them over! Keep the other stuff just in case, because sometimes they ask for other items (the guy told us he "couldn't find" our marriage certificate in our file, luckily I had brought a copy!). I had copies all ready so when they asked for evidence, I handed over each thing saying, "Here is the original and here is the copy" and in each case, he took the copy and handed back the original after looking both over very quickly.

Thanks Eileen :)

Took long enough didn't it! At least we have our interview date now, once its over i won't be so stressed out over immigration, i'll be immigration free until i apply for citizenship in 3 years time. I'll remember to hand over the phone bill, auto insurance etc first and keep the rest on hold till the IO asks for it. Fingers crossed for an approval and that i'm not stuck in namechecks!!

I'll let you know how it goes.

Maria, you have a lot of evidence, I wouldn't be worried.

Our IO didn't even look at what we had, but she sure took it - originals AND copies. Make extra copies - I didn't  .

Good luck - I'm super excited for you - it'll be a breeze so don't worry.

We didn't have any affidavits from friends for our AOS but we did have a letter for K1. Our friend talked about our love and how evident it is. She also spoke about how she feels proud of being friends with us and feeling like she is a part of our family....
