I have a friend who applied for his wife. He called DOS and was told the interview date is 2/11/08. As of today, neither he or his wife have received the interview letter. He has called DOS and sent emails to the embassy without luck. DOS finally gave him the number to call the embassy directly but they will not answer any questions unless its thru email. What can he do?? HELP

Since an interview has been scheduled, his wife needs to make an appointment for a medical. In Jamaica, the interview letter (Packet 4) must be given to the receptionist at the doctor's office. However in Bangladesh , the requirements read that the beneficiary must bring passport and passport photos to the appointment.

I found this information.

A confirmation letter should be sent to your friend in the United States and his wife in Bangladesh. Snail mail is a bch! If the interview letter is not received by Friday, January 18th- have him contact his US Congressman. The state officials are not as effective.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

I just have noticed this post. It is surprising, because I emailed US Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh few times and they replied me right away. The Embassy sends interview instructions to both petitioner and beneficiary. If the beneficiary has not received the instructions, he/she should go to the Embassy to get the package. But I wonder, if the email was sent to the right address. The email for US Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh: dhakaIV@state.gov

Let us know, if your friend has any updates.
