I gues I will be moving over to this forum. I've bee hanging out at the k-3 forum for the past 5 1/2 months. Our I-130 was approved yesterday. However, we had submitted the i-129f was was planning on doing the k-3 visa. Since our i-130 has been approved before the i-129f, we have to go the CR/IR route.

Since we did the I-129f, we put on the I-130 to be sent to our local immigration office. And then on the i-129f put it forward to to the consulate in Juarez, Mexico. Does anyone know if I need to do anything to change this, or will USCIS automatically forward it to the correct place? I know I've read this answer for this before, but can't find it.

You will know that it is going CR-1/IR-1 when you receive the visa fee bill and I-864 to fill out and return to NVC.

I called USCIS and the lady that I talked to had no clue what I was asking. She said I would need to make an info pass appointment and ask my local immigrtion office. Uggg

Read carefully what your approval notice says. If it doesn't say anything about your spouse adjusting status in the US, then the petition was sent to NVC and you can verify that by calling them directly 2 to 4 weeks after approval.
