It was about 1:30 pm today when Dave woke up and heard Ivete (our cat that lives in the garage) crying outside as she was asking him to open the door, which he did. She never comes inside unless Dave brings he in..... but this time she ran inside as she was looking for a place to have her kitties. First she hid under the couch but since we have two other cats (Skank and Gabriel) that love staying there, Dave thought they'd end up hurting her or the new born kitties..... so he put her back outside. Ivete then found her way back in through the window and got in the closet, which was okay since Dave could just close the door and then the other 2 cats wouldn't bother her.

15 minutes after that, she had the first kitten.... and then the other 5 came in the course of two hours.

Dave said he didn't hear a thing. She was very quiet and cleaned after her mess so there was no mess at all.

The good thing is that she interacts with Dave normally lets him interact with the kittens as if he was one of them, which is good because that way he can help a lot more and bond with them.

She looks happy but tired.... the kittens look very healthy and very very cute!!! Dave will make a nesting box tonight so they'll feel more comfortable and safe. I love them SO much already!!!!

We can only keep one and Dave's parents will keep two... so we'll have to give three of them away. :crying:

10/26/2006- Consulate receives case (seriously, one month to receive the case?? BS!), and packet 3 that I sent even before they had received the case.

01/02/2007- Interview!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got a 221(g)

01/23/2007- Second Interview. VISA granted!!!

01/29/2007- VISA arrived.... no envelope though. I'm gonna contact them and see what happened this time!

01/31/2007- I'll have to send them one last financial support evidence.

02/01/2007- Evidence sent

02/02/2007- Evidence received by Consulate

02/06/2007- Consulate sends envelope!

02/07/2007- Envelope received!!!

02/10/2007- Flew to the USA!!!!!!

04/17/2007- Wedding day!!!

6/19/2002- Met Online

11/10/2002- Met in person for the first time at Buffalo International Airport we spend a blissful but all too short week together.

2/23/03- David proposes on the beach in Melbourne Florida at sunrise during his second visit.

9/26/03- After much talk with USCIS we decide to go ahead and get married during David's third visit, with David planning on returning to Ireland the following week.

9/30/03- Phone USCIS to ask questions on filling out paper work and USCIS officer informs us that if David is already here he doesn't need to leave. After numerous calls to the Irish Embassy and two more calls to USCIS to confirm, we decide he will stay.

12/02/03- Petition for AOS recieved

10/8/04- EAD FINALLY arrives

11/10/2004- Our Son Colin Michael Kieran born two years to the minute after our first face to face meeting!

1/26/06- Recieved interview appointment letter.

3/09/06- AOS approved! David is a permanent resident with stamp in passport.

4/4/06- Green card arrives. We are now free to travel back to Ireland so David can see his family for the first time in more than two years.

Sons father changed his mind - does not want me to take him with me - he is ignoring all attempts at communication. Sent letter to his solicitor with regards trying to mediate come to some arrangement with contact - waiting to hear back!!

18/02/2006 ~ 1 Year anniversary

13 April 2006 We got married

kids had second lot of vacinations!

End of June 2006 filing I130 ~ Change of plan, he is leaving the military and coming here to live and study for his degree, then we all move back to USA ~ solves problem of battling to bring my son, for now anyway.

SO the long distance relationship continues until Feb 2008 at least!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I have a kitten - a boy - and so does my fiance - a girl -...since I want to take him with me to the US I asked my fiance if he thinks we would need a K1 for him too so he can marry his lil girl :P

I have a kitten - a boy - and so does my fiance - a girl -...since I want to take him with me to the US I asked my fiance if he thinks we would need a K1 for him too so he can marry his lil girl :P

lol. makes me wonder the same thing about my cat and my fiance's cat now. :) Cats are so dang cute.
