On the first page of the affidavit of support, under the section where it says....

This affidavit is executedon behalf of the following person:

under the section where it says marital status...

My fiance is divorced, so should I put divorced or single?

Another question...

I plan on getting the affidavit notorized tomorrow. Is this to soon, being that we want have our interview until the middle of February? Or does it matter?

Last question...

Where it says, state your annual income...should I put this years expected annual income, even though I am not sure of the exact amount? (not sure about raises and so forth this year)

Or should I put the exact amount that I made for the year in 07?

Thanks

Steph

I would guess that you should state your income based off of last years completed tax return, or from the amount stated by your employer on the company letterhead. I stated my salary from my what my HR manager stated on the company letterhead.

As long as your stated income from your 07 tax return is more than the poverty guidelines, you don't need to worry about it. State your income from your tax return.

Yes, we are aware that we will need divorce decrees, as well as other documents. The last questions that I have are regarding the affidait of support. Hopefully the other two questions that I posted will be answered. :)
