So there's a chance you're over 5'. But there's little chance your wife is.

I'll wager they are 4' 11" and 5' 3". (Thinking of short Indians. LOL) I am taller than both of my inlaws in India (and the rest of the family there really!).

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

Alex, my wifes DL says she's 5 even though I say she's not. She won't let me measure.

That is not short. So are you 5' 0" or taller than this?

That sounds like a reasonable guess. I guess I never really think of Indians as short. Are they significantly shorter in India?

Some families are very short. Some are tall. Tallness tends to be more common in the north. They tend to have more caucasian looking features in general, the more north you go. Realize I'm generalizing, there are exceptions.

Last weekend a friend of Suj's visited us, he was taller than Suj, probably 5' 10" or something. The friend is Bengali though. So yeah I guess some families are just really short and some aren't lol.

No I'm bengali. My whole family is short. I only lived in the north.

Not to take this thread too much off course, but among Bengali Hindus I've observed distinct correlations between caste and height (and complexion).

Lots of short people and lots of tall people, too. Depends. Most of the street people will be short. The leaders are mostly tall though. It's very stratified.

So that's the caste correlation? My friend must be an exception. he's also kind of dark.
