Everyone on VJ should write their congressman and ask about changing the law for K visa holders to have EAD automatically that would expire when their visa expires with the exception of K1 which would expire in 90 days but automatically extended with NOA1 for their I485 AOS application. Why does the EAD have to be a seperate process for K visa holders? It seems USCIS just took an old method for visas and applied it to K visas? Why cant the EAD be included in the application process for K visa applicants? It could be a simple question that is asked on the I-129f "Would you like to include EAD with this application? Is there ever a reason EAD is denied after a K visa is approved? If not, then why can EAD autmatically be included with all K visas?
