Are you giving politicians your money?

I grew up with that being a normal thing to do, but I haven't done it yet. I'm nervous to do it because you can get in trouble as a journalist for it. But I'd really like to give Obama at least a little.

I have contributed before for our district's Democratic Party's Congressman nominee, but this time, I will most likely contribute little for Barack Obama.

Give them nothing! Let them get jobs at Wal-Mart or Target or one of the other Big greedy stores and let them live at or near the "Federal Poverty Guidelines" and see how they like how the majority of the people live. It's disgusting how much these halfwits are spending on getting a "nominated" none of them deserve your vote (or mine if I had one). What I don't understand about America is the political system and the system of government?

I don't understand how for example Florida... There is a state government, each county has a government and then most of the cities also have their own form of government. There is so much tax payer money ate up, wasted on reproducing the same jobs over and over again, same $hit over again and again it isn't even funny. Why isn't there a state government, cities with districts funded by the state and by those residing within these districts. Why isn't there just 1 police force, ambulance service and fire service for the entire state? Do we really need a million separate organizations? Why all these micro managed organizations eating up resources and fighting with each other over whats left? Stupidity in my opinion and a total and utter waste of money!

Why isn't there a set amount given by the government and paid for by the people to those who get selected to run for office which they have to use and if they don't use repay it. Everyone gets the same and can only use what they are given? No more of millions and millions wasted on the same old ####### by the same old (rich) politicians to get your votes.

Anyway at the end of the day, the rich get richer in this country while the poor appear to get poorer! It doesn't matter who gets into office it's all money in the end.

My job prohibits it. I can't have political bumper stickers or put a sign on my lawn or anything like that, either.

I voted "no" because I've never contributed to a campaign out of my own free will. I did once do some minor work for a mayoral candidate when I was in high school, but that was because it was a required assignment in my Government & Economics class. It basically amounted to stuffing envelopes and carrying items for a number of hours.
