I was under the impression that it should take about 6 months from the time I sent it in, giving us the summer together. However, looking around at some of the timeline data, it looks like we'll be lucky to spend next Christmas together. Sweet....

I'm a bit late at finding this post, but I also filed in January on the 14th. On Feb. 15, I recieved the NOA just a day after the cash was checked. The date on the NOA was Jan. 17. It seems that my paperwork went to the Vermont Service Center. It took almost 3 1/2 weeks just to recieve my USPS confirmation that the stuff was picked up in Chicago! I think that I may be in panic mode until all of this is over...how many months/years do I have left?

Can you please add me to the list. I-130 filed Jan 21 and NOA-1 received Feb 16, 2008. The date on the NOA is Feb 13, 2008. I did notice something unusual though: the case was filed with the California Service Center. I live in Ohio and was expecting it to go to Nebraska per the USCIS website. I can't keep up with the changes the USCIS is undergoing, so is this something I should be calling them about??? If anyone knows please let me know. Thanks.

1/14/2008: Marriage

1/22/2008: I-130 sent to Chicago Lock box

2/14/2008: NOA-1 received

6/5/2008: NOA-2 received

6/13/2008: NVC received package

6/16/2008: Obtained NVC number

6/17/2008: AOS bill Invoiced and paid online

6/17/2008: DS-3032 e-mail sent

6/19/2008: AOS coversheet printed and I-864 sent

7/7/2008: AOS RFE issued and checklist mailed

7/8/2008: DS-3032 e-mail-received

7/15/2008: AOS checklist received (missing tax transcript i.e. they lost it)

7/16/2008 Response to AOS checklist express mailed

7/23/2008 IV Fee Bill received in the mail and paid online.

7/26/2008 Mailed DS-230 after printing cover page and payment accepted

The more people that are getting their NOA's the more nervous I'm getting ... I'm happy for ALL OF YOU :) ... But at the same time, I worry that something is up with my petition(s), because they were received back on 1/17/08 at the Chicago Lockbox (sent 1/15) ... The expectation is that my stuff, hopefully, is at the VSC already ...

I-751 Process -

5/24/10 : I-751 Packet sent to VSC

5/26/10 : Delivered to SAINT ALBANS VT 05479 @ 11:46am

5/27/10 : NOA1 Date (based on scanned check image)

5/28/10 : Funds withdrawn from bank account

6/04/10 : NOA1 (I-797) received, confirming above NOA1 receipt date.

7/31/10 : Biometrics letter received - Appointment date of 8/11/10!

8/11/10 : Biometrics done!

8/29/10 : GC received (sometime last week lol)! (WOW!)

Previous timeline of our Busy 2008!!

1/06 : Married my JAAN :)

1/15 : I-130 and I-129F sent to Chicago Lockbox

1/17 : Both petitions received @ Chicago

2/27 : Check cashed & I-130 petition visible on system.

2/29 : Received NOA1's! Notice Date - 2/22/08

5/01 : I-130 APPROVED!!! (But not my I-129F)

5/08 : Got Case # from NVC (received 5/7/08)

5/11 : PAID AOS Fee Online -- I-129F still pending; full speed ahead with I-130!

5/12 : Neetu emailed NVC re: DS-3032 (choice of agent)

5/13 : AOS Status now "PAID" -- AOS PRIORITY MAILED

5/16 : NVC received AOS

5/19 : DS-3032 email accepted & AOS entered in system

5/24 : IV Bill Invoiced and paid online

5/28 : IV Bill status = PAID -- DS-230 EXPRESS MAILED!

5/29 : NVC received DS-230 at 11:01 am

5/30 : DS-230 entered into system

6/03 : CASE COMPLETE - 26 DAYS AFTER NVC RECEIVED I-130

6/10 : Interview scheduled (for 7/9 originally)

6/14 : Interview letter (my copy) received.

6/16 & 6/21 : Medical

7/16 : Interview completed - APPROVED!

7/21 : Neetu picked up passport/brown packet from VFS

7/25 : POE AT EWR!!!

End of Sept: GC received!

I received my NOA1 today, Feb. 16th. My check cleared on Feb. 13th. :)

My husband and I were college sweethearts. In fact, we were each other's first love. We broke up for a while and after 8 years, we started talking again. We finally got back together in 2007 and decided to get married last December.
