Citing unspecified “serious and credible reports, allegations, and rumors” regarding the presidential primary in New Hampshire, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) is asking for a recount of the vote.

Kucinich ... said in a letter to New Hampshire Secretary of State William Gardner that there were “possible vote-count irregularities” that have been “fueled by the stunning disparities between various ‘independent’ pre-election polls and the actual election results.”

...

In his request for a recount, Kucinich alleges that there have been “unexplained disparities between hand-counted ballots and machine-counted ballots.”

...

“This is not about my candidacy or any other individual candidacy,” Kucinich said. “It is about the integrity of the election process”

How far off were the exit polls to the actual counts?

Twenty percentish, I think.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell

--July 22---------Sent I-129F packet

--July 27---------Petition received

--August 28------NOA1 issued

--August 31------Arrived in Terrace after lots of flight delays to spend Lindsay's birthday with her

--October 10-----Completed address change online

--January 25-----NOA2 received via USCIS Case Status Online

kinda early to do the al gore ain't it?

A large discrepancy between the exit polls and actual votes is unexplainable.

There are accuracy and security issues with those voting machines that is well documented. We need to throw 'em out and stick with paper ballots.

Voting machines can be as secure as paper ballots, but the way they have been handled up to now has been a total disaster.
