I predict it will be Giuliani vs. Clinton in November.

It's still a long way to the convention but my guess is it will be McCain vs Clinton with McCain winning. But anything can happen to be sure.

McCain is leading Huck in the polls in SC right now. I have to admit I am very very surprised, didn't think the good ol' boys would go for him.

I'm looking for Obama v. Romney. That would butter my toast.

Ugh, please, no. I'd like to be presented with a real choice. Two candidates I can actually think about voting for.

Who would that be? I've honestly never seen any state or national election where I had any indecision. But I'm so far to the left, voting for a Democrat must be how a moderate feels voting for a Republican. The last time I remember not knowing who to choose was when I was in Madison and had to choose between Green and Democrat, the two most powerful parties in the city.

The only Dem with a chance I'd consider voting for is BO. The only Reps with a chance I'd consider voting for are McCain, Rudy (does he have a chance?). So either BO vs McCain or BO vs Rudy would present me with something to think about.

Giuliani's strategy will pay off.

Time will tell. I have a very favorable opinion of his record as Mayor, but I've been very underwhelmed by his campaign and debate performances so far.

Did anyone else see that clip they showed on "A" Daily Show the other night about Giuliani? First he says he doesn't really bring up 9-11 that much, and then he brings it up in talking about Hillary's show of emotion. He says something along the lines of 'that emotion might be appropriate if I were consoling a 9-11 widow..." I wish I remembered what he said, but it was effing hilarious.

Giuliani certainly has his flaws, but I just don't see how Romney can do well, especially in the southern states, because of his Mormonism. Huckabee will have the opposite problem with the more moderate states. McCain had already bruised his reputation among Republicans, first as not being conservative enough, and then by supporting Bush on the Iraq War. So be default, I think Giuliani has the best chance overall...in the long run...like when Super Tuesday happens.

Yeah, Obama was leading Hillary in NH, remember? Didn't mean Jack either...

ETA: Yesterday, I received a tentative resignation effective Jan 21 next year. The employee said that he'd leave the US if Hillary moves into the White House.

Rove is still playing the Hillary-would-be-good-for-Republicans thing I guess.

Well, in both IA and NH, Obama won among independents and Hillary won among registered Democrats. Any Dem candidate that has that kind of pull among independents is a threat to a GOP candidate that does not.

Yep. I'm of the opinion that a Hillary win means the Dems are screwed, as all those independents will be voting for McCain (unless it's not him, and then who knows). An Obama win might mean the opposite.

:o Whoa!

I think that is true for many Republicans as well. That's why I think Giuliani is going to be the nominee.

OMFG! Seriously? Why?

A lot of Republicans despise McCain - they think he's not conservative enough. Then he aligned himself with Bush's handling of Iraq.

check out his position on illegals ;)
