No. Not everyone has that option. I can see people with SO's in some of the Western African countries, Vietnam, the Phillipines, the Middle East or thereabout complaining when it takes them well over a year to get loved ones here even though they did all the right things to make it as short as possible.

Nani's immigration, for example. I could have done the K1 (about a year at the time), the IR1 (about 2.5 - 3 years at the time) or the K3 (about 6 months at the time). So, I chose the K3. Had I chosen a different path, I wouldn't have gone out to complain about how long it takes. After all, it was my choice... ;)

But yeah, 8 months to be completed at the NVC going for a CR-1 is indeed a nice one!

Exactly!

Yeah, but you know very well what happened with K-3 hell just after you applied.... lot's of us applied and had I-130's approved very close to the I-129F being approved...that was complain-worthy in MY opinion...hehehe. Would have shaved maybe about 2 months off of the process going K-3, but then would have had to do AOS and EAD....blah! And I'll still always complain that it generally takes spouses longer to get over here than fiance(e)s.... *shrug*
