So since December Luis has been working in landscaping (the only job he could get right away) which has had him up in the middle of the night shoveling snow in below zero temps for 10 hours at a time... needless to say, as a Mexican used to milder winters, was not his favorite thing in the world!

He's spent the last few months searching for something else... lots of resumes sent, a couple of interviews, and last week he FINALLY got his DREAM job... as a creative production assistant at the Spanish news channel Univision. He has a communications bachelor's degree and LOVES computers, so this truly is a dream come true. And he's going to be making double what the landscaping guys were paying him. We're so excited!

But I wanted to share with y'all who are looking for jobs right now what his new boss told him when they offered him the job. Luis worked on the oil rigs in Mexico and therefore has ZERO production experience, but this is what the boss said, "You know, lots of folks came out for this job who had a ton of experience and lots of great references, but their attitudes were terrible. You came in here, enthusiastic, chasing after the opportunity, positive and willing to learn. I know from years in this industry that people like you go far, so I want to be the one to open your first door."

So remember folks, sometimes attitude goes further than experience! Stay patient, you WILL find something soon.

Take care gang,

Amy and Luis
