AM NEW AND I NEED ADVISE ON K1

Hello,

I am new. Me and my fiance got engaged on July 24, 2007. A notice receipt NOA1 on Sept. 19, 2007 was issued, but of course i didnt end up getting it until i called and asked for it. Its now Jan 10, 2007 and we NOT have received NOA2. I keep checking the USCIS website, but all its says is PENDING. I see other september filers have already received their NOA2. He is from Saudi Arabia and I am from Chicago. What are you advises for me and am a newy....thanks so much

Well first of all -- only *some* September filers have gotten their NOA #2 already -- many many are still waiting, and there are even quite a few waiting who filed long before that. It's not unusual to have a 6-month wait (and in some cases even longer) so your wait is not "out of the ordinary" yet. It's likely just the usual slow grinding of the wheels of bureaucracy -- so no need to panic just yet

Hang in there and insha'allah you'll be hearing something within the next month or two. Sorry but there's no real way to predict. Wishing you the very best with your visa process !
