Question for you, is it normal for the Sponsor to be asked to attend the interview with the beneficiary for AOS?

Actually in looking at the AOS guide it seems like that is normal. I wonder why the sponsor has to attend the AOS interview.

So they can separate the two of you if they're suspicious and question you separately. I watched it being done at the POE when I used my visa. The couple was a mess and the officer was MEAN.

Plus I'm sure there are other reasons. LOL

My BIL has his interview on February 22nd in nebbie, my Nephew's interview is at the same time. So she was asking. My Nephew will automatically become a citizen after he receives his PR status.

She was wondering why I don't have to go to the interview with my Husband but she has to go to theirs, I told her I think this is normal - but who knows they might grill them!! not really.
