Wow, that gives me hope. We are sending our P3 back today/tomorrow. To be perfectly honest, I can't even imagine having an interview 2 months from now. Everything I've read has prepared me to wait 4-6 months. Course, I'm still expecting that... but just the thought of an interview faster than that is... well, almost unimagineable!

Im wondering if sending an email helped my case or not. I was very polite. I think it's the 4th time I've emailed them since recieving my packet 3.

One time to inquire if they'd recieved my paperwork from NVC (they sent me an email telling me they were mailing me the packet 3 that day)

One time because my maiden name is on my passport and we applied for K3 with my married name

One time because my husband recieved a packet 3 for K1 visa at his residence in Colorado (which I was told to disregard)

One time to inquire if they'd recieved my packet 3 that was sent in December and if I was placed on a waiting list. With the holiday season, I was hoping that my stuff didn't get lost in the mail

I got an automatic response every time but a day later got responses from real people that were actually nice! AND with good news! Perhaps we are entering a new era for the Montreal Consulate!

All in all, I can't say that I don't love the Montreal Consulate. Now all I have to do is not stress about the interview and hope for the best, not that I can imagine anything going wrong *knock on wood :)

Same here about expecting to wait 4-6 months for an interview. This is such good news and changes everything (well if I ever get an NOA2 that is  ). I was starting to think we'd be lucky if we could get married by next fall.

Yes this is what happened each time I emailed the consulate.

They sent the auto-response and then either the same day or the next day the actual answer(s) to my question(s).

I'm glad to see it is working for you too.

PS the interview will go great.

Do not worry.

Your work is done BEFORE you get there.

It is simply a formality.

Capiche??

SpiritAlight edits due to extreme lack of typing abilities. :)
