Hi all,

I'm new, so please forgive me if I make a mistake with this posting.

Ivy (my fiancee) and I have no photo proof of having met in person. All I have are the plane ticket stubs and my hotel bill that put me in a town close to where she lives.

Is this enough proof of having met?

Would it be wiser to wait for our next meeting, which is two months away (that is a really long time right now) and then file the I-129f with photots? Or should I just submit the ticket stubs, my passport stamps and hotel bill as proof of having met.

Thanks all for any suggestions.

Mike,

Photos are secondary proof and typically don't have as much weight as primary proof (such as plane-ticket, receipts, passport stamps, etc.) so don't give it as much concern as you are. Many here (and elsewhere) have been approved with little or no photos.

 Agree w/ Karin&Otto....but make sure you take plenty of photos on your next meeting...you will want to take those photos to your visa interview as you may be asked for them there.

Photos are not necessary (if you have other primary proof such as passport stamps, airplane tickets and hotel receipts) to prove that you've met in person. This is all that the I-129F requires....that you prove a meeting between you and your fiancee within two years of filing the petition. Now at the interview stage, you have to prove an ongoing relationshp...so that they will issue the visa. Here is where your photo proof....along w/ proof of communication will be the key. :)

Good luck,

-P

I would send in application now, you will get an RFE if they decide they want the photos and since you will going there in 2 months, you can take a bunch of photos then. If you were to get an RFE for the photos, it probably wouldn't happen for a couple months when they got around to your case. Good luck to you.
