If you travelled using VWP on the plan of getting married then you will get deported. If however you entered as just a visitor with no intention of actually getting married then actually did you would have to prove that you had no plan originally.

mmm I think you should be ok going through the process and am sure someone on here will advise you more. You may be lucky and get to stay while undertaking the K3 route which of course is what we would all do if we were allowed to but most of us have to suffer the K1 or K3 from our home countries with the K1 currently being slightly quicker for the process and getting work clearance afterwards.

No! No! Getting married is no problem. Staying and trying adjust status based on that marriage is the problem. You can enter the US and get married but then you must return to your home country before your leave to stay has expired. You then re-enter with the appropriate spouse visa. You may or may not be allowed entry to visit during the visa process.

While visiting on the VWP, you may engage in any activity that is legal except to work but you must leave before any overstay.
