OMG I NEED this thread. I don't have cable and NONE of my local channels have hockey...ever. I don't even know who's IN this year. But since I'm sure their not, HERE'S LOOKING FOR NEXT YEAR SHARKS!!!!! (yeah I know..they'll never pull it off..poor b*st*rds)

Btw, the San Jose Sharks are in the playoffs this year and are playing Nashville in the first round ... Actually, they finished 5th in the west and have a good chance to be sucessful this year due to the steal of a trade they had earlier in the year which brought Joe Thornton ...

They lost game 1 though 4-3 ... if you visit www.nhl.com you can keep up to date with the different series ...

Ya I am worrying about when I move to Illinois and keeping track of hockey... I have been there in the winter and it is impossible to find out what happens with the Chicago Blackhawks let alone my Vancouver Canucks ... Atleast I will still be able to keep track of them via the internet ...

Games for the most part have been very close and entertaining. A few blow outs as well, but its only 1 game. I'm a big time Flames fan, not sure how well they will do, as they seem to be lacking the scoring punch all yr. if it was not for super goaltending they would have had a dismal season. Time to step it up!!

OLN is showing a lot of games, if you have satelite, i'm sure 1 can subscribe to the NHL centre ice package.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
