I didnt get my appointment letter yet!

hi guys,

should I call the embassy? or should I ask the lawyer to check the consulate?

Holy ....... help!!!!!!! I am getting frustrated now!!

email the consulate and tell them you have faxed back your packet3 checklist and ask for them to tell you the interview date because you would like to start arranging travel plans. thats all i had to do and they gave me my interview date via email. and they said they had just sent the letter off in the mail

But sheree already has her interview date, she is just waiting for the letter.

If I were you sheree I would email them myself and let them know you haven't received it yet

when I got the EMAIL about my interview it was on the Dec 17th, got my LETTER in the mail on Dec 24th (it was dated Dec 17th)...If you dont get it in your mail on Friday, I would send them an email..

There is no problem if you don't get the letter by the time you leave for your interview, the guards at the Consulate will confirm your appointment at your arrival. I got my date two days before I was to get there and I never did receive any correspondence (e-mail or letter) from the Consulate regarding the interview. Back in those days it was done by telephone.

If you don't get it just show up with your passport and everything will be fine.

Hello Dear Sheree,

First: Don't Panic!

Second: Do email the consulate and tell them this, and then simply print out your email of the date and bring that along. It is completely acceptable PLUS they do have you on a list and can call upstairs when you get there to check. The security did that for me when I went to pick up my Visa without any proof.

I find it terrible that Post Can. are so strange with these appt letters..and obliged to get this piece of paper throug a lawyer....simply terrible....I received mine 3 weeks after it was sent, on the envelopp it's stated was sent 1st class....i was furious...Among so many other things to do before the interview this is simply not right!

Thats the deal when you go with a lawyer, they get the packages first, at least that was the way it was with us! As soon as our lawyer had the package, she just scanned and emailed me the info I required asap, and then mail it out.
