I recd my biometrics letter today. Scheduled for feb 7. And the waiting continues

Looks like we are January AOS filers as well! I'll keep you all updated on our timeline.

I applied for an SSN# with my K1 visa,but they did not issue me one(I was wating 3 months for the darn thing)

I can only get an SSN# with an EAD card.

Everbody: Do you think it is a problem that my passport is still in my maiden name and I applied for the AOS in my new married name???

I have not been able to get an SSN# seen as they are acting like idiots at my local office.

I have my biometrics next friday.

This is exactly what we did as well. I think it will be just fine.

They didnt give you a SSN on a K1?

I know I went in 5 days after arriving in the US and got one no problem..

Guess its hit or miss at some offices.

Some people have had a lot of problems getting a SSN. There are many thread discussions Working and Traveling before GC

turkjay i mail in the same day as you did and my was delivered on the 22 but my chacks didn't clear yet..... im getting kinda worred here .....

I use USPS Express Mail that why It's fast. Do you have the Priority No. for you mail? You can check on that. By the way, don't worry. I think they going to get your mail soon. We sent in 2 checks too... and they only cashed 1 so far. You are ok I think!

my was Fedex so i know thay got it ....... so i hope everythign is good bc ususlly it takes around 4 days for them to cash the checks

I sent mine on the 10 via Fedex, and it took a while for my checks to cash. THey cashed them on the 16th. And My NOAs and Biometric letters were late coming in. Rest Assured they have them, just processing is slow. When I track online, via (Case Status), it is has not been touched since the 18th. But My Biometrics notice was dated Jan 21. So I know the computer system isn't accurate either. Hang in there.

thanks for keeping my hopes up , i just hope that thay get going on my AOS , i just don't want to see anythign in the mail without my checks beeing cashed, that wouldn't be a good sign

I mailed my AOS package on 1/9/2008 and it was recieved 1/11/2008. No checks cashed and no NOA... Anybody else seeing no response? Does the DO matter for the initial response time ?

I submitted mine on the 10th and recd on the 11th. I got NOAs and Biometrics all withing a week I did label mine outside with inital aos submission. I know sometimes people who don't label it outside takes a bit longer. Hope that helps.

Mine was received on the 4th of January.

Haven't heared and seen either.

Checks are still untouched.
