well hgill. as long as you're still waiting, i'm relieved :)

you know, our cases are going hand in hand so it's good to see that there isn't anything wrong with mine. not really 'good' but you know what I mean.

Is anyone from the Seattle area still waiting. I have not received a transfer notice. My I485 was touched once on 2/26/08 one day after bio appt, but nothing since then. My EAD was updated after I received the card but my AP was not, even though I received them both on the same day. Should I call USCIS to check? It seems like they just tell everyone to keep waiting. Thanks for any help.

I applied in February and no appt notice either.

As you are not out of the processing timelines, i doubt they can do much. But if you can afford to take a day off of work, make an infopass and give it a shot.

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.

Updating timeline in signature and interview experience...

We had our interview on 1st July at the Portland, OR office. The IO was very friendly and professional and asked the usual checklist questions. We were adjusting from a B2 visa but she did not dwell much on it other than to ask what was the purpose to enter the country and how the marriage came about. I was apprenhensive about no joint lease and the home title documents only having my name since adding a name to it would have been expensive with too much hassle now and in the future, but the IO did not ask for any specific evidence of a good faith marriage. We just handed over whatever joint docuemnts we had collected and that was it. At the very onset we were told by the IO that she was new and so there might be some supervisors popping in but that did not happen and also in the end she mentioned everything looks satisfactory and she would have to consult a supervisor before finally approving it. We also requested a change of name during the interview and it was done. Online status was updated the same night and welcome notice arrived a week later.

My opinion of the whole process is that it may seem quite daunting while starting off but if you have your basic documents such as I-94, birth certificate, visa etc. in order and it is quite obvious that your marriage is real then odds are that there will be no problems. Also, officials at the Portland district office have always been nice in my immigration experiences.

Thanks to whoever for all the information in this forum and Good Luck !
