we got another problem here

in the early Feb, we got a RFE about asking us to send most recent tax document.

We sent the RFE back with tax doc and pay stubs..

Howevery today, We got and SAME REF again in April!!!!!

Whats going on????

1/7 package sent

1/9 received

1/11 check cashed

1/15 NOAs

1/19 biometric appointment letter (date:1/30 Wednesday 2:00 in the afternoon)

1/30 biometrics done

2/7 REF

2/9 REF replied

2/11 REF received at Lee's

4/2 EAD card production ordered

I made an infopass three weeks ago. When I went there the IO told me that in missouri they are running behind on cases of RFEs. There are like a bunch of people that are on vacation and some on sick leave. He told me that the AOS division had 40 employees 30 of which are taking mandatory vacation and 2 that are on sick leave. So a total of 8 people are working on the case. But I think he was just bs'ing to get us out of there. 30 people can't go on vacation all at once.

I'm impatient too. I didn't see anything on my case since March 7, almost 1 month and no touches... OMG!! How long it will take??

no touches since feb.07...

I would assume the next time they touch the cases are if they are setting an interview date or approving AOS for those at CSC...

congrats wendyhigh! finally!!

we're soon approaching 2 months with our RFE receipt date and no word about the AOS or interview....

Frustrated We are hitting the 60 day mark on our RFE without any response. What should we do? Damn that USCIS!

I think I will wait till April 10th and call. If I don't get anything from them 2 week or so after that, then I think I will escalate to a congressman or something. As far as I'm concerned, I should simply receive a welcome package with a green card. even an interview is a waste of time since I've been married to a US citizen for 7 years with 2 kids. it's a no brainer, not like they can deny me the green card anyways.

I think that you'll have the possibility to don't have a interview only if your case is transfered to California. Good luck

Well guys,

finally some progress.

After sending in the wrong check ($340 instead of $355) I have sent the stuff back on March 4th (I filed actually January 4th, but received a RFE - booo).

Well, a week ago the checks were cashed, 2 days later the NOAs arrived and today I received the Appointment for the Biometrics.

I know guys, this: "Everything will be fine!" is annoying, but well... Heads up und be patient!

The journey is the reward :thumbs:

AOS from J-1 - Chicago

2007-09-04 Married in the US on J-1

2008-01-03 Sent AOS+EAD application to Chicago

2008-02-13 Got a job - cannot work though

2008-02-28 Rejection Notice/ RFE - forgot $355 Check for I-130 /me stupid
