January 08 filers

Hey guys,

I have a question regarding the filing date!

Is my filing date the receipt date or the NOA date or the date they actually received my documents? I'm just asking because in my case the difference is one month. I don't know what they were doing in January.

We sent the paperwork on January 14th and they received it on January 15th. But according to the NOA the receipt date is February 12th. What do you think? Am I a January or February filer?

Well you filed in January, but your timeline is likely to be similar to those who filed in Feburary.

EAD card came in the mail today. Now waiting for AOS.

Do they still process ead at local office with the noa?? I really think that I will be getting green card soon And yeah I see a lot of action on everybodies case whooo!!! I dont think that there were too many january filers, which I guess its better for us

OOps I meant that they were not too many january filers so everybody might have a speedy approval...

um...you DO know that not ALL AOS filers post on VJ, right??????????????

I see a lot of EAD approvals this week for early january filers even with RFEs. surely someone's crackin the whip at USCIS to get these moving. hang in there rest of you, yours will follow soon...

Our EAD account showed up online today and card production was ordered. We will finally be able to be a dual income family :-)

That's what I've been hoping for. May be a late Jan filer, but approvals from people who had filed a week or so before us is certainly encouraging, especially since alot of us have also been transfered to CSC around the same time. Fingers crossed.

Yeah I know that not ALL AOS filers post on VJ (of course) but compare to the other months in here it seems like there wasn't too many filers...

Me too Wendy, still have nothing, and we have the same dates, except for my RFE was sent earlier. I can view my cases but nothing as far as updates. Last Update was Feb 7, to let me know case processing resumed. No EAD, AP, or anything other word of transfer. All I can do is wait. The 800 number told me, that if I pass 45 days without hearing anything since my RFE was received that I should Infopass it. Not sure if that would help. But still in regular processing times so not much you can do. Rest assured, I am waiting with you

Hey everyone,

I think I just received my advance parole paperwork, but it is not what I was expecting.

I have two identical pages, with form number I-512L. Is this the right advance parole document? I was expecting 3 identical pages (that's what I've seen other people say they get).

If these are the right papers, how do I use them?
