Wow! My guess is that your paperwork was "lost" then "found". If they have cashed your checks then you should be on the right path!

Entered the USA 13th Jan

got married 15th Jan

Sent AOS off 17th Jan

not heard anything yet, no cheque cashing, no NOAa :(

but I did apply for an SSN in the Reno office with no problems :)

just thought i'd update, cheque has been cashed. 6th feb 2008

:)

but the MSC number thats on the back of the cheque doesn't work in the online case tracker, is that normal?

Got the 3 NOAs through the post on sat ... dated 4th Feb, checked the online case tracker, and Ap and EAD are there, but not AOS yet.

A quick question.. if theres an RFE on the AOS part (for examle, sponsorship information), does it slow down the EAD process as well?

My SSN card arrived in the post exactly a week after I applied for it :)

I'm afraid that YES. In our RFE said that

We recieved all three NOAs yesterday. I have a question though - is there separate biometrics appointments for I-485 and I-765 or they do them all at once? Looking at NOA1 for I-485 I see Application Support Center Code 3. However, on the NOA1 for I-765 the ASC Code is 2. Does this mean we will have two different biometrics at two different locations?

In my biometrics appointment comes both case numbers. I've read that when they take the fingerprint only for EAD, they take it from the thumbs of both hands. In my case, they take the thumbs and all the fingers from two hand. First hand by hand, next finger by finger.

Our Biometric appointment lists both the 485 and 765. 2 for 1 :-)

nothing hgill. at least you got an email, my case isn't even on line so I have NO idea what's going on with it. will keep you posted if I do.

Hey frustrated I can't check my case online either?? I havent even received a biometrics appoinment yet, I called the 1800 number and they told me to wait 30 days of receipt date, and if I dont have my biometrics date set, to call them back. The officer said that they are working on my case even if it doesnt show online so hopefully it wont take too long for us. I cant believe dakota has her interview appoinmtent already good luck for her, her case is moving way fast :)

Well I would be happy but I was not able to get an SSN# with my K1 Visa,so I am having to wait until I get my EAD from the AOS.

Without SSN# it is kinda hard to put things in my name as evidence for the interview.

But we will do what we can,I had my biometrics 1,5 weeks ago so I am hoping the EAD will come very soon!

I got an e-mail today saying "The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office." I can only assume this means I've been transferred out of CSC and to my local office... surprising considering it only just got to CSC :P Hopefully I'll get something in the mail that's a little more clear. I'd like to know for sure where my paperwork is, especially considering last time CSC had to move paperwork for me (I-129F to NVC after approval) they lost it and I sat in limbo for four months!
