What if he never had a work? He always has been studying abroad and now he is getting his master degree. So, he don't have any income to report. Help

but the MSC number thats on the back of the cheque doesn't work in the online case tracker, is that normal?

Definitely normal. Wait until you get your physical NOAs and try the MSC #s off of those, they are more likely to be your actual case numbers. All three of my case numbers (for AOS, EAD, and AP) were different from the one on the back of our cheque.

My check was just cashed yesterday i tried that MSC number also on USCIS site did not work yet. So hopefully ill get the hard copies in the mail today and see.

I would just give it a couple more weeks. Sometimes they are just slower to move certain people along. A good example: My husband and I had no RFE's & no problems, but after we were approved at the California service center for our K-1 it took them TWO MONTHS to mail our petition to NVC. I was pretty frustrated because people who were approved even weeks after us were already mailed out and we had done nothing wrong. I guess some people just get dumped at the bottom of the pile (even if they are first in line). They'll get to you. :]

hello everyone

I got REF today.

It said my husband need to submit the current tax returns.

We submitted 2006 tax return.

But i guess they want 2007 one....

but i am really not sure what they really want since we have all tax document of 2006 sent

i thought 2006 one will be ok

but in the REF, it says "In order to process your application further, submit evidence of the sponsor's current income.

so 2006 one is not current enough for them???????????????

I filed for my AOS on Jan 23rd, and I got 3 NOA1s for I-485, I-765 and I-131 in the mail a few days later (they were generated on Jan 25th). Today I got my biometric appointment letter for the 15th Feb (it was generated on 2nd Feb).

I've also tried to add my 3 AOS applications to my online portfilio but the MSC receipt numbers are not being found. I've had to call USCIS to correct a typo on two of the application addresses, and they were able to use the receipt numbers fine, guess it just takes a little while before they are in the system for me to see online.

I thought that you were one of the last ones to sent out the package in january, but I guess not. I dont know thats is pretty strange why they would ask you for your recent tax transcripts. Maybe they will ask all of us january filers eventually :( hopefully not. I guess if you havent done your taxes for 2007 you should hurry up and do them and send it to them fast so your case can resume asap. Another question to you, have you done your taxes already, maybe they checked with irs and saw something???

it says that "we must submit all Federal income tax documentation submitted to IRS for the most recent tax year."

we have all the document of 2007 ready.

I think we will just make photocopy of them and send them out.

i guess they really want the 2007 one since it mentions "the most recent tax year" which is 2007 right?!

Wendy,

I went through the same thing with USCIS with the same RFE. They told me after speaking to an IO that 2006 taxes are ok as long as they are submitted before March 1 2008. They want proof of employment i.e. paystubs etc. I included them already with my original submission, they must of misplaced them. So I would recommend, 2006, if you have 2007 doesn't hurt, and proof of employment, such as a recent paystub or letter from employer.

Hope that helps,
