Thought I would drag this thread back up as I bought a lamp - woooo hoooo!!

Anyway, I saw this lamp at Penney's yesterday and I really liked it, my Husband didn't like as much as I do - but anyway, decided I had to buy it so I ordered it online today (found a 20% off coupon too  ) I really like the way the little flower type pattern gets smaller at the top :)

Yay! The home decorating thread is back! It's nice to see that I was finally able to make a decision and paint my walls.

I like that lamp, Trailmix. It would look really good with an olive-coloured shade to pick up the green tones in the base if you ever want a change.

I agree, that would look nice on it!

I was thinking if this thread was back up we might get pics of your new wall colors?

I've been living in our apartment for 3 years and still have not decorated it. :\ After moving 14 times in three and a half years, I'm still in the habit of keeping most stuff boxed up. I have SO much awesome stuff to put up one of these days, though! It'll probably wait until later since Réjean and I are planning on renting a house once our financial situation gets more stable and I'm able to go back to work.

Edited to say "our" apartment instead of "my" apartment... I'm still not used to this yet!

Sooo what did you buy!? I saw at least 4 things I would have purchased if we were in a house now, but I don't want to have a huge moving job when we move out of here. The car had enough room for a lamp when we moved in, not much more - so I have decided I won't buy anything more before moving.

 at your edit Necrotica and Eric, I hope you get a speedy interview, your Son's room is so cute :)

At Penney's we only bought jeans and shorts for my husband. They were having a buy one-get-the-next-one-for-a-penny sale. Plus I had a 15% off coupon so we spent even less! The US has the best sales. Plus, now I have a new sales receipt to do another quick survey and get another 15% off my next purchase. :)

I agree with you.... don't buy things for your new home until you're in your new home. I have discovered that things which looked good in one place don't necessarily look good in another. Especially when you paint it a different colour. :hehe:

That's a beautiful room, Eric. Is that a timeout chair facing the wall?

No...not a timeout chair for the little man. We need a seatbelt to keep him in anything! But I've been told to sit in it a few times
