Timeline

It can take months or YEARS for approval depending on FBI Name checks.

This is a very frequent question.

A lawyer will not help make FBI speed up their processing.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is your timeline correct? Looks like you filed AOS before you got married. When did you got married and when did you filed your AOS?

Yes that is a bit ODD, K-1 entry July 6/07, AOS filed July 30/07 and Marriage Sep 28/07

Only thing I can think is that they did a civil marriage in a court-house before filing the AOS to satisfy that requirement, and then did a religious on in September. Hopefully they sent the AOS packet before the July 30 deadline for rate increase, and not on July 30 as their timeline shows.

You're right . . . Civil wedding was 7/24/07 (had to beat the fee increase!)

Our observed and religious wedding was 9/28/07 . . . exactly one year after our engagement day.

We will return to the Philippines to renew our vows on 9/28/2008 with our parents & family.

btw . . . still waiting for AOS approval . . .

It took Claudeth five months from when we filed until she received her card. Have you checked the immigration timelines link at the top of the page, there are some stats there that might be helpful.
