Hello All, my husband and I had our interview today (after over 1 year+since filing). Our interview was not in Washington DC, but in Roanoke. The officer was a very nice lady and after she swore us in she told us that no decision could be made today because she does not have access to a database. She would have to wait until she returned to DC to check the FBI name check status. She asked for our ID and went through the 485 form with me asking questions from the form and then asked my husband about his employment. Since my husband had changed jobs since we filed we gave a new letter of employment and pay stubs. She asked my husband how we met and when we got married. She then asked if we had any children and we said 'no, but we have 1 on the way.' The lady laughed and said that she thought I looked pregnant but she wasn't sure and we showed the ultracound pictures. Then she asked for any documentation like mortgage, bank statements. We brought copies of everything and ended up giving: our lease from our appt, our deed and paperwork for our mortgage, joint saving and chequing and medical insurance papers. She didn't ask to look at photos eventhough we had brought 3 albums. The interview was pretty quick and painless. I was told we should have a decision no later than March and of course I will be hoping that I will have my conditional green card at that point. I am definitely glad that I submitted my EAD renewal because my current 1 expires Feb. 22. So I guess just a bit more waiting but I am very glad to have the interview over with.

congrats. Sorry you had to go all the way to Roanoke! That's a long drive. Did they mention anything about why Fairfax was so backed up? It's a long time coming and congrats again.

Congrats on the baby! And your positive decision on the GC. Why would they have an interview in an office where there was no database? You'd think if it was a matter of just looking things up whether the security checks came back okay, that they'd look at what interviews they had there that day, and get someone at the other office to look them up! Geesh! Hopefully this is all cleared up before you have to apply for EAD renewal.
