Our petition arrived at HCMC in November and our case has been put on hold until the Chief Immigration Officer reviews it. I guess he needs to decide whether USCIS was correct in telling me that the our original petition, which was denied by the consulate and sent back, was truly expired and I can file a new one. He may allow our new petition to continue or he may send it back to USCIS and tell them to adjudicate the original one. The chief had been on vacation for most of December. I would like to know if Thao can go to the consulate and pick up packet 3 while we are waiting for the chief to review our case? Do you think they will give her the paket in this case?

Thanks for your help and congrats to the recent pink slips!!!!!!

Had to make an Info Pass appointment because there was a delay in receiving the NOA for our I-751. Never found out the reason for the delay but they gave Thao a 1 year green card stamp in her passport and we got a the NOA 2 days later.

My lawyer instructed me to have Thao fill out the DS-230 and the DS-156k forms on line. I sent her an email with the links to the forms and also the links to the example forms from VJ. I hope this saves us some time. I am tired of waiting. :clock:

Damn I really feel for you both. I have been more worried about the interview than anything else. I do not like to put our lives in their hands. How can you prove a relationship to them when you both can't be present together in the interview? I just worry they try trickery or something because she might not understand them. She speaks good English but she is shy and take time to understand the person she talk with in English. I know she kept a lot ot things to prove our relationship but you never can be 100% sure about what they are looking for.

I just want to wish you the best of luck I know how hard it is to be without you lady it's killing me so I know going through this is far worse.

Best Wishes,

Roy

Thanks Roy! I will be there for our the interview this time. I think it will be in April and I'm not leaving without her. It's been over 2 years since I originally filed!
