Woah that last prof was crazy  . I really don't like profs that treat us like lower level pond scum so I withdrew from that class. What is the point of being a hard a$$? That class in not required but I still needed a concept course so I switch to learning about how TV had affected our society since 1948. Yipee! The books are cheaper too. For the class I dropped the books were close to $150 and the new classes book only cost me $25! Now that is a savings!

Hey who was telling me the other day to go into studying Middle Eastern Studies? I've seriously been considering it for my graduate studies and I'm looking at the graduate program at The American University in Cairo. Middle East Graduate Studies. I feel it might help me when/if I choose to work for a foreign service.

I'm still debating about my future though and if I should pursue some sort of political science graduate program to appease my need to help the world or pursue making films and help the world sometimes while still getting to be creative and entertain with film. Since I'm on the Senior time table though I have to figure out which Graduate Program I want to pursue by the end of this semester. Yikes!

I see you Maggie!!! HI & WELCOME BACK!!! :luv:

Thanks ME. I'm glad to be home but missing my Omar. This is the 4th time I've left him at that same dog gone airport. :crying: At least this time I'm not waiting on some one in the consulate to make a decision as to when he can be with me again!

I see you people are in full swing today with your camel porn!

When we arrived in Casa I saw the diplomatic pouches on the baggage carousel. They looked funny to me, because for all their security, they were like the old money bags tied with rope, with a tag on them that said Diplomatic Pouch, State Department! No one was standing there guarding them. They just spun around with all the other baggage.

And we walked by the consulate (why I dont know) on my last day in Morocco and boy has it changed. They have what look like big blue dumpsters filled with flowers parked on that side of the road, the whole lengh of the block. And you cannot walk on that side of the street or even that side of the median. Gates and guards everywhere!

Its been a busy week, with starting classes again. I haven't done anything the last two years so it will take some adjusting but will help pass the time.

Off to Callif tomorrow for the weekend. Then back to real life. sigh

Work is crazy this week!! First no time to post last weekend bc parents meeting husband, now no time at work! :girlwerewolf2xn:

Oh, sent in AOS paperwork somewhere in there, hubby got SSN, and a potential job today  I've changed my name, so still in the process of going to bank, insurance, CC's, ect.... but have to go anyway with hubby.

I spend my nights helping him with English or going somewhere bc he's been stuck at home all day, but I REALLY need to get back to VJ more :help:

Happy Hump day everyone!!!

I remember another MENA member who would come home from a full day of work to a husband who wanted to go out of the house for the same reason so she was exhausted after a week or so of that business. Hopefully he'll get to work soon too.

You know what I hate most about it? There is this button called the "WHO WHEN" button so if there's a mistake on the account, you hit that button and BING....shows ya who did it! Actually we both sit an laugh about it. It's me inputting the insurance wrong!!! I tell ya, I do nursing....NOT insurance.

Yeaaaah! WB Maggie! I second the motion on wanting pix!

Amal- Ya why fight my intuition. When a prof doesn't smile and tells ya she's a hard a$$ & that we should probably drop her class and then goes on to list a few more red flag reasons why we're not going to pass then ya gotta think she's got issues and who needs the attitude. Why on earth do some profs take that approach? It makes no sense. So I hope the semester gets easier but it remains to be seen.

Hey Maggie, welcome back.

When will Omar be coming back? Sounds like it won't be for a while if you're taking classes to pass the time??

Will love to see pictures when you have them.

:)

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

Argh, I didnt touch VJ at all yesterday and I feel so empty! We had a productive meeting with the lawyer, though, so I feel alot better on the score. Im preparing a Motion to Re-Open, etc to slap on the field officer tomorrow. Wish us luck!

And baby is jamming to the music choice of the evening, Daft Punk.
