I have a confusing situation and I am conflicted about what to do. I filed a removal of condition for my wife on May 23, 2007 in the Texas Service Center. However we are getting divorced. I was told by a lawyer that once we get the divorce we have to refile the papers in my wifes name and remove the original petition; howver, if the removal comes before the divorce we don’t have to do anything. The divorce was planned for January but I could wait until as late as the end of March. I notice in your time chart that Texas seems to be very slow and some people are still waiting who filed in February. But then petitions that were filed after June were transferred to CSC and have already been processed. My wife is very worried that if I refile the removal she will be less likely to get the condition removed and wants me to wait. But then, if the applications filed after June are being processed more quickly maybe it would be even faster to refile. Any suggestions?
