It was nice talking to you the other day Mina............too bad we live so far away from eachother..!

Just a quick hello/merhaba to all! :)

Hoping that everyone is doing well and happy, GOD Bless! (F)

Ohhhh I know! :(

I did miss seeing and talking to you too, but you know my case. Yet I would still love for us to get together for that Spa vacation I had once talked to you about, we sure could use it now! B)

Filiz,

Thank you for your prayers. I am starting to lose hope, you know? I don't know why this is taking soooo long. It has been 19 months that we have been waiting for the K-3. I wonder if this will ever end. I would like to see you in the summer too.

Eveyone here is so sweet and caring I feel like giving everyone a big group hug and a sloppy kiss..ok not sloppy.. I lov you guys!! Thanks for yourthoughts nd prayers!! Don't worry i aalway aying prayers when one of us here is in need

I just hate staying away from here for too long, but it is because am so busy and stressed.

I haven't slept well for days because i am leaving on he 16th and I ALWAYS stress beforehand. And to top it off my love is in Ankara now getting his medical done and me being uber "Miss Independent" completely fell into depression/anxiety mode out of the blue as soon as he left for Ankara :o And it makes zero sense because he is still in Turkey and I'm NOT ..sooo...?? I felt lost when we missed our daily chat! I guess it's what I get for taking him for granted becaue I am afraid to get too excitedi n case something goes wrong-I keep telling myself after months of positive thinking tha in the end; "nothing is guaranteed" and that is what keeps me kinda distant unbeknownst to him thank godness :( now that we are down to the wire...reality hits :o:(:huh::unsure::ranting:

On a much more pleasant note lol, Tanya I heard wasf eeling better AND going to Turkry :dancing: Yay!

I feel so happy for Filiz, Julia and Wendy and me for finally getting close to the interview...and Mina for coming back...and hope I didn't forget anyonwith this lack of sleep :dead:

Have a good week evryone!!

Miamiwife.. :bonk: .

I apologize for my "uplifting" comments above when you are feeling down. I can imagine how you feel because if gets any worse as far as my already depleted reserves (from life itself before I met Hamit) that I think I will lose my sanity if I have to endure any holdups especaill AP......I will break. I feel like I an't do it, but I have it in me to keep going because I MUST as our love is worth it all.

You have been this far...just a little longer....day by day if needed...this is what I tell myself anyway but it works

Erika, my fingers are crossed for you guys!! Try not to stress, though I know it is hard......when Ozzy and I went for our interview, I had no clue about all the things that could go wrong (I had found this site just about a week before our interview and didn't know about AP and all the other pitfalls you can run into).....I can only imagine what your stress level is going into this with eyes wide open! We are all here to support you though and wish you the best with the interview and your travels. Try to keep a smile on your face and think positive!

Hey everyone! I have a couple questions if you don't mind:

We received our 'packet' of instructions via email from Ankara yesterday.

1. Do all the documents have to be in English? Or are Turkish ones (i.e. police record, birth certificate, marriage document) acceptable? In one section, it says documents not in English or Turkish need to be translated; then in another section, it says all documents to be translated to English.

2. It says to send the original and copies of the marriage certificate. Do we really need to send our marriage book? Or do they accept certified copies and my husband can take the book to the interview?

Any insight is appreciated!

Deanna

Hi Deanna,

Unless they have changed the rules, all documents not in English (i.e., police report, birth certificate, etc.) need to be translated into English and the English translation sent along with the foreign language document.

Not sure about the marriage book...is this a Turkish document? If they say they want the original, I'm pretty sure they want the original, but maybe someone else who went the K3 route could clarify....

Best of luck,

Tanya

I did everything in English... because I downloaded all the forms from their websites.. but some people wait for the forms to get in the mail... Also I sent my original marriage certificate the consular officer gave it to me back at the interview.. I recommend you to send the original to them...

Best of luck!!!

Filiz,

Have a wonderful trip, though it is a long one! Bring copies of your birth certificate, marriage certificate translation, and whatever you filed for K-3. See if you can get copies of the medical exam, the shots you had. The rest will be Rich's stuff and your I-94. Enjoy your life together!

Deanna - we also translated everything into English. Make sure you photocopy everything you have translated and keep a copy for yourself, too! It might be helpful in the US.... I just turned in my health insurance documents and they wanted a photocopy of our marriage certificate, which is of course, in Turkish and French! They said it would be OK, but it was one of those things I wished I had kept. :)
