Oh my, what a surprise! How could the doctor misidentify the gender at such a late gestational age?

Congrats, again, on your son! I love his name. Can't wait to see a picture!

Just to update you all Resul and I now have a beautiful son! Thanks for asking Debra! He was born on 12/5 and I'm trying to get this new mommy role together! It's not easy as I'm up at 4:30am feeding him right now! LOL! But he is so worth it! I was told in my 7th month that I was having a girl... Well on the delivery table they told us it was a boy! What a shock as I had a totally PINK baby shower! Now we have plenty of BLUE clothes thanks to great friends and family members! He's a perfect, healthy little boy, thanks to God... He is a little cholicy (gassy) and that is rough, but getting a little better. I will try to post some pics when I have 2 free hands! His name is Mehmet Can.

~Debbie :luv:

I know!!! Thank you, Erika. She's one and a half now. Time passes too quickly. However, we're eager to put diaper changings behind us! LOL As much as we'd *LOVE* to have one more and physically can, it's unlikely b/c we're already older parents.

awatwerlily your "baby" is almost not a baby anymore and still oh so cute-you going to have more? :D

I just cannot get over Wendy and her good fortune...I am so happy for you two! I am thinking of Julia and Onur too and waiting to hear the good news someday soon! Meanwhile, I know you two are spending much needed time together after this AP slap in the face!

I am still working on the document package that we need to return to Ankara so we can get an interview and am starting to save for Ankara. I hope to go in 6-8 weeks and we are hoping to get that interview lined up for the same time...insallah!

Deb and Resul-wheres your sweet baby pics? I am so happy for you. What a most sweet 2008 surprise.

Hi Tanya,

I am not sure of the date of Yilmaz's arrival to the U.S. I have just e-mailed Ankara for our next step. I don't know if we just pick up from where we left off or what. I am a little confused as to what we do next. I hope Ankara can be helpful!!

Good luck on your next step in nursing!! I think it will be very interesting. :)

Hmm...guess it would have to be a bit more complicated than just showing up at the embassy, approval letter in hand, and demanding his visa, as I guess I was thinking...silly me!

Well, here's hoping it's not too much more complicated or time consuming than that anyways! You two have waited long enough!

Thanks for the good luck wishes...I'm kinda looking forward to getting back to school actually. I'm so used to having my nose in a book all the time (and absolutely NO social life to speak of) that I kinda don't know what to do with myself when I don't have anything to study for!

Hey all,

I just put in a request to get our thread pinned. :star: TY Mina for getting it started! :D We've come a long way.

I don't know why it hasn't been done yet. This thread, the French and German ones are quite active and actually I think all should be pinned.

Anyway, let's see if it gets approved. :crossing fingers:

How is everyone?

Tanya...you mean to tell me you miss the poo? JK. Yea, psych is a piece of cake if you aren't intimidated by the unknown...and this area is filled with the "unknown" lol I wasn't afraid; I was right in it with them.... all competitive in volleyball when they are let "outdoors"...anywho...it is just like a scene out of One FLew Over the Cuckoo's Nest...serious...you will have to control your need to laugh uncontrollably...I loved it....the sane ones make fun of the truly insane and you begin to realize just how thin the line is between "us" and "them"...lol enjoy your semester and let us know what you discover every day!

Where is everyone (crickets chirping)??

Hi Deb,

What about kodak.com? (or something similar). I did this with my apartment pictures, so Yilmaz and his family could see what I picked out for us and how I furnished it (since I had to do this on my own). I used MSN groups, but I think in another month, the site will be defunct. You could make your album "public" and then friends and family could just log on to your link and see the beautiful new baby.

Good luck, we are all anxious to see the new arrival :)

Time sure flies with little ones!

In terms of photos, i think VJ has a photo album option. What about Flickr or Photobucket? Do you have an account on either of those sites?

GL and hope to see pics of your lil man Mehmet soon! :star:
