Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the summer. Onur's interview is in 10 days and my nerves are killing me! I can't believe that the culminating moment of the last 8 months is finally here - I just hope and pray that it ends with a huge sigh of relief!

I am wondering what those of you who already went through the K1 interview process brought to the interview, as Ankara is a bit different and they have us send most everything in with Packet 3. I'm thinking Onur will just bring his medical report, visa fee receipt and new proof of ongoing relationship (since May when we sent in packet 3). He is also going to bring a copy of everything I sent in with the original petition and everything he sent in with Packet 3. Anything else?

Your input is appreciated!

Thank you! :)

Tears are streaming down my face, and not happy ones

We are now in AP hell. Onur said the interview seemed to go fine, except for the fact that he was incredibly nervous, but the CO handed him the green slip which had Administrative Processing checked and told him to check Ankara embassy's website in 15 days for our case number, and when it appears to send in his passport with this refusal sheet.

I am so sad.

I am so sorry to hear the news. :::HUGS:::

On a very good note, it was NOT a denial. The green paper, I think, is a bit "friendlier" than the other colors - meaning they just need more info. His AP may simply mean the background checks are off sinc with the rest of the visa process. The fact that the CO continued the interview, said to check back on their site in a few weeks and when his # appears to send in the paper and passport is also very reassuring. They'll need the passport to issue the visa inside of it.

I imagine in light of the recent terrorist shootings/bombings in Istanbul (one at the American Embassy last month), that Immigration would take extra care with processing visas and respective security checks.

For whatever it's worth, hang in there, hun - this will all be behind you very soon.

Please KUP (F)

Hi Julia,

I am so sorry to hear of your news!

Yes, as awaterlily also said it could be the extra precaution measures that the Embassy is taking now when sceening applicants at the interview due to the recent terrorist shootings/bombings in Istanbul. Also he was not denied either, so that is a good sign.

I always believe GOD has a reason for everything and everything will fall into place at the right time, so I believe that you and Onur will be together in some way, maybe not now but in good time soon!

I will keep you in my prayers for you and Onur to get your approval soon!

I know it's hard, but stay strong Julia and I am here if you ever need a hug (F)
