Hi Everybody!

Hope you all enjoyed the summer. Resul and I have been busy working too... It's hard being on different schedules and trying to do things together, but we did a few day/weekend trip to Atlantic City and area boardwalks. But the big news is that I'm having Gastric Bypass surgery tomorrow morning! I have been pursuing this since April as it is a long process to be approved by the insurance company. So I will keep you all posted as I hopefully become the incredible shrinking woman! ;)

Take care!

~Deb :luv:

Wow Debbie this day came so soon for you!

My thoughts and prayers will be with you tomorrow and hope everything goes well and easy for you with a speedy recovery :)

Merhaba,

Just working, working and more working ...no vacation this year.....just gathering next set of paperworks (I-751) and trying to get some sun in before it leaves for the next 9 months ;-( Maybe we will be able to go to Turkey next year. Just hard for me to get away from my job for a good amount of time. :help:

Any how....Take care and lets keep talking ;-)

Best wishes

Peace,

Debra

Ohhh dear Debra you really need to take some time off from work this year cause it can really affect your health, I should know this being that I did end up in the hospital this past April dued to stress and over-working!

It's too bad we all live in different states because I would suggest us girls all meeting at a spa for some nice pampering and relaxation from work and the husbands B)

what do you say??? ^_^

eitherway take care of yourself always,

Mina (F)

Hi awaterlily and Everyone!! Yilmaz and I are still waiting on our I-601 waiver. It has only been 1 month, so I am sure we have much longer before any news.

Since I work for a school district in the transportation department, things have picked up with the start of school. Having beautiful weather in PA. Today was very hot, but there was a breeze that was nice if you were standing or laying in the shade.

I now summer is winding down, but is anyone planning any trips? Anyone going to Turkey in the near future?

iyi gunler,

Wendy :)

Hi Wendy,

Just as you mention about anyone going to Turkey in the near future? I had a thought that would be so nice if we were to plan for next year if possible for any of the couples here to actually take vacation next year and maybe possibly meet in person in Turkey!

Wouldn't this be lovely to meet with all the "Just Turkish" couples going through this crazy maddness of Immigration process to actually meet in person in this beautiful country where we all have same commone interest? ^_^

Ohh well it's only me again Wendy with my wishful thinking again!

Where is everyone??? Let's keep this thread on the first page!

Any VJ updates, summer vacations, going back to school, etc? Please share!

awaterlily (F)

Couldn't agree with you more awaterlily about keeping this thread on the first page!

Sorry I didn't come online before to post about my recent trip to Turkey last month. I got kind of busy trying to prepare for my husband's return, just 5 more days before he is home again :)

It was wonderful to go back to Turkey again, I do miss being there and away from everything and of course it is always so hard to come back to the USA!

We went to Bodrum for our second Anniversary and as always we had a good time being there B) My husband loves the beaches and the nightlife in Bodrum. Espeically this one disco called the "X BAR" seems to be very popular with the tourists, but what I can't get over are the women that go topless at the beach! :o I don't have the nerve even if I wanted to get an even tan all over I wouldn't have the nerve to go topless!

But all in all we had a great time! :)

Speaking of sharing, do tell us more about your little one???

Mina (F)

Hi Mina,

Love both your ideas. The one about the spa (I hear Hershey Hotel has a very nice one), and also the one about meeting up in Turkey. I think this would be great if we were able to pull it off. Keep those good ideas coming!!! Oh, and I am so happy for you that you only have 5 more days before your love is back in your arms!!

Deb,

Good luck tomorrow. I will keep you in my prayers. A very good friend of mine had the surgery over a year ago. She has lost a lot of weight.

awaterlily,

Thank you so much for making this thread back on the first page.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Take Care,

Ciao,

Wendy

Hello Mina, Debra, Wendy and all!

Great to hear you had an enjoble trip in Turkey - to Bodrum. Funny you should mention the topless tourists. I forgot about them!

I, too, sometimes wish we all lived closer - sure would be nice to meet all of you! Hang in there Wendy, believe us, this process will all be a fleeting memory soon enough!

Our baby is three months old now and so darn cute! She's smiling, laughing, and discovering her hands and feet. She's our little bunny! ;-)

cheers,

awaterlily (F)

Just wanted to say "Merhaba" to everyone. (and we were slipping down the list again). It was a cok guzel day in PA today. Blue skies and mild temp. Unfortunately it only made me miss my love more. I wanted to share this beautiful day with him.

Deb - I hope you are feeling better every day.

Mina - Did Coskun come home yet?

I know that one of the members that received their visa (Tanya), back in July will welcome her love this Saturday.

Does anyone else have any news?

iyi gunler,

Wendy

Deb -Glad to hear your surgery went well. we wish you a speedy recovery!

Wendy - we're also enjoying beautiful end of summer weather. We went apple picking on Sunday and stopped by a farm that is open to the public. They have a little store where they sell homemade ice cream and a variety of other dairy items. We bought some yoghurt (omg - it is delicious!)

But, I'm really looking forward to making apple pies!

Let's keep this board active!

cheers,
