Wow, this board is super quiet these days. I was just popping in to say 'HELLO' to everyone and know how everyone is doing.

All is very good with me and my hubby. Life happens. :) Our little girl is turning five and starting school in the fall. Where does the time go???

selam canlar :) i'm new in this forum, i've one left year to graduate then i start to apply for a visa, but i'm not decided to which visa for ? I study economy and my situation is kind of complicated, the options are;

1. mba programmes for two year which i've to apply for J-1 visa ( but i heard after 2 years you have to go back from where you came and you can not come to US for 2 years but i don't know whole details)

2. one of my cousin is working in D.C and i'd ask him to favour to write a recommendation letter and get a visa, but i don't know what kind of visa is, i think there is H-2B visa and B-1 visa which suits for me.Then i started some traniee program on a bank or get a direct job in same area.

Hello, I thought I start here instead of starting a new topic. Please excuse if I interrupted any conversations or if this is an inappropriate place to post. I will be traveling to Istanbul for work and just wanted to confirm that you can get visa at port of entry (international airport)? Another words, when I check in on state side, are they going to say " where is your visa?". I just don't want to worry about this when I leave. I am taking my wife with me and luckily, she will not need a visa as she has her Brazilian passport with her and Brazilians are exempt.

thanks for any responses,

David

If anyone stopping by can give me some tips on cooking Turkish foods? Mostly rice dishes? My cooking skills are not very strong and I have never cooked many rice dishes but my husband eats more rice than anything else. I bought a few Turkish cook books but they just say "reduce" heat. What does that mean Low? Med-Low? :unsure:

I just want to learn a few dishes before he comes.

Thanks for any help!
