It IS the T number Jenn and if it says invalid when it is put in, it means they haven't even checked it into the computer anywhere let alone arrived at the embassy...I would get Fuat on the phone with those liars at the IST UPS!

I know when we were waiting for the visa to arrive in Turkey at HAmit's house, we would go on the Turkish UPS website and would get "invalid" until someone, anyone entered it into the computer (usually once they send it out)

Something is stinky here and you were impatient for a reason!

Well, we got the Medical over and done with this morning so we have that to be thankful for. Plus it didn't cost as much as I was afraid it would. They only maid my husband get the tetanus and MMR shot so it just cost us 306 TL. Afterward we stopped at a cafeteria style Turkish restaurant and they had turkey so we even got to have some turkey for Thanksgiving.

We found the receipt and tried every number listed on it.. but they all rejected on the web page saying they were not a valid tracking number. I called UPS and gave them every number we could find on the receipt and they told me the same thing. Fuat called UPS in Turkey, and he told me they used one of the numbers he gave them and confirmed it was delivered but UPS here says they couldn't have done that since none of the numbers are a tracking number.

Called the Embassy and they said they don't show it listed yet... but that it's a big embassy and could take a while to reach their office and get entered into their system. She also said it could be up to 20 days before we get a response.

I just wish we could confirm that the packet reached there... We've made it this far, I can wait 20 days for an interview date to be given to us if we have to, just wish we could confirm delivery.

Track your packet on UPS Turkey by entering your tracking number here.

When I got a receipt from UPS they had put a sticker on it with a barcode and under the barcode there was a 9 digit tracking number starting with 'T' and followed by 8 numbers. For ex. T11223345. Check the receipt again for a 9 digit number and enter it in the above link.

The embassy received my packet on Oct. 5th and then I got an email on Oct. 20th giving me my interview date which is coming up next month.

Thank you so much for the link! I'm in Hong Kong right now.. it's almost 12:30am and can't sleep ( Slept too much on the plane).. thought I would check UPS again and ups.com shows nothing.. Then I came here, found your link.. AND.. it was delivered on 11/19.. just like the guy told Fuat it was.

Erika, when I read your post I was ready to just scream thinking the guy that picked it up from Fuat's store never shipped it.. but it's there :)

Maybe now I can sleep.. and stop stressing.. OH, until I find something else to stress over :)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone

I knew to include that link because I had the same problem. :D There's two different places on ups.com to try and track a package but only the above one works for packages being delivered in Turkey.

Hi All,

How is everyone? I guess I haven't been online much lately owing to my hectic life! Just 2 more weeks and I'll be done with nursing school & Defne is almost 2 months old already and getting sooo big (way over 10 lbs I'm sure!) & starting to smile and coo. We're also getting ready to start the paperwork for Ozzy's 10-year GC next month. The instructions say to file "during the 3 months prior to the expiration" of the 2-year card. Anyone know if that means anytime during the 3 months prior or if I need to file the papers before the 3-month mark? I'm hoping to file before or right at 3 months prior, which will be Dec. 20th, but with Christmas and me still not working, I'm thinking money might be an issue....

Also, for those who know, is there a particular form for the affidavits that need to be filed by 2 friends or relatives who know us, or do they need to just write a letter? I know, I'm lazy and could prolly just look it up, but I figured since I'm here, might as well ask :)

Well, somebody (a particular spoiled little princess) is crying to be picked up, so I better go for now!

Hey Tanya - for the purpose of removal of conditions, you must have your application sent in the 90-day window before your three year anniversary of entry to the US as identified on his GC. Do not wait until the last minute. Supporting docs can be sent in with or later but before the interview date. (See the application instructions FMI) Be sure to include your A number and other pertinent info if you do send supporting docs at a later time. GL!!

As far as the letters go (are these even mandatory? I can't remember) - anyone that witnesses the two of you in the capacity of marriage such as friends, coworkers, neighbors or relatives, you do not need them notarized. A simple letter, typed or hand written, but signed, is perfectly fine. BTW, Your best asset in terms of proving 'validity' of marriage is your new LO, Defne :star: Be sure to include a copy of her birth certificate.

Thanks Awaterlily....great info to know! Yes, I figured Defne's birth certificate would be our best proof of validity LOL! And its a good thing we have her, because other than our lease and a couple minor utility bills...oh and Ozzy's car title...we don't have much else in both our names. I don't like mixing bank accounts and most of our bills only allow one person's name on them. Well if there were ever any question, I suppose my older kids would be all to happy to testify all about how Ozzy bosses them around at home! :P He runs a tight ship & is much more strict with them than I am (not entirely a bad thing either, IMO).

Did you have to go for an interview? I'm hoping we won't have to...not that it would be a problem but just kind of a PITA schedule-wise. We didnt have one for the 2 year GC. Well, I guess we'll have to wait and see if we luck out twice!

Take care!

Tanya

PS: OMG this website is slow today...or maybe its my connection, I dunno....but sheesh!! This is like my 4th time trying to reply!

yaaayyy !!! yaaayy!!!! yaaaayy !!!!

my visa is approved !!!!! :)

the waiting period inside the room was pretty long but the actual interview was pretty short :) it took only 5 minutes :) the CO was a very nice. she said that she got everything she needed :) then she asked me a few questions. how did you guys meet ? how long have you stayed in America ? when was the last time you saw him ? (I told her that it was 2 days ago :) he was here with his parents. then she was like " aaaawww why didn't he come to the interview w/ you ? " I explained her why and she said ok ) she asked me if it was my first time seeing his parents and I said no. ( I spent a lot of time with them when I was in America ) and that was it ! then she said " ok you are good to go "

I was like    she gave me a UPS card and told me to go to UPS desk and give them my address. they will send my passport in a week. at least thats what she said... she also wished me good luck in America :)

it was a good interview! I was pretty nervous but everything went just fine!

Dear Jenn thanks for the message again! I hope Fuat's interview will be just as nice as mine ! :) I will keep you guys in my prayers! :)

I am neither especially clever nor especially gifted. I am only very, very curious...
