ohh Old boy is classic! I love it.. what are the other 2 movies of that director? I know oldboy is part of a trilogy

Do you mean Sympathy for Lady Vengeance and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance?

Real love stories never have endings...

if you wanna see some 'real life manga' watch Tetsuo the Ironman.. really fukced up movie.. like, really..

Yeah I watched both of those - didn't think too much of them to be honest. I just remember one had a scene where a man is holding his child in front of him as a human shield and the gunman fires anyway. Next shot is the father holding a pair of severed arms. Very weird.

Old Boy is better IMO.

A loose trilogy - Old Boy is an adaptation of a Japanese Manga comic. I've not seen Chan Wook Park's other movies, but I've heard mixed reviews...

BTW - have you seen Lady Snowblood? If not you should check it out - and then watch Kill Bill again.

I've had the two Lady Snowblood movies forever but I've never watched them. Maybe I should put the first one in in the old dvd player today....

I've not seen the second one but I hear its not as good as the first.

The first movie has an almost identical sword duel scene as the one at the end of Kill Bill part 1 - right down to the music.

I just started watching PS. I Love You... it is really good so far .. much better then I was expecting...

This was really really really good. I admit I cried.

yeah, I was very close to crying.... I think i might have shed a tear.... I have only watched the first 10 to 15 minutes so far though.. so more tears could be coming

It is the type of movie you need to watch curled up in bed wearing your comfy pj's with a bowl of popcorn and a box of Kleenex....

just finished watching the movie.. wow it was pretty good....

I watched several movies today including....

Fingerprints - a very mediocre horror movie that featured ghostly kids and Lou Diamond Phillips. Should have been a magical combination. But it wasn't. It made my eyeballs hurt.

The Wedding Singer - My first time watching it since it first came out on dvd. Better and funnier than I remember. I didn't dislike it the first time I watched it but I actually ended up kind of loving it this time. I'm really not a big Adam Sandler fan or romantic comedies either. He and Drew Barrymore had good chemistry.

The Notebook - Finally broke down and watched this one. It was a fine little movie but a tad overrated considering all the raves I've heard about it. I was actually way more moved by James Garner and Gena Rowland's scenes than I was by Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams'.

Lady Snowblood - Didn't get to finish quite all of it since I picked Mark up from work, but so far it's been great. I like all the over the top blood spurting.

The Wedding Singer is in my top 5 of favourite movies... Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore should really do more movies together... I liked 50 First Dates too...

yeah I saw the Notebook too awhile back and I was like huh, what is all the fuss about?? it was ok but nothing special...

i am not into watching blood spurting movies :P:lol:
