we watched cloverfield a few weeks ago and it was quite interesting. It was a mix of lots of movies, but at leats they were original enough to have the entire movie with one of the actors filming, instead of regular cameras.

I just saw Cloverfield and that one guy that had to find his love of his life, really got on my last nerve. I would of ###### slap him, dude, monsters, run, it’s not like she is your wife. I know I am a cold person, but really, how many men would go back for your behind, when there are monsters that are hungry. I also saw the Mist, I had read the book first, bad mistake, cause they were different, but really the movie was pretty cool, bad ending, but that is the king.

I wouldn't go back for anyone. I'd stay at that room they were for a while in the train station, until it was safe to go out. It even had food. And if it was never safe or the town was nuked, at least I wouldn't be bitten by a giant spider and then bloated til I exploded.

The Mist I really enjoyed the end. It was fantastic.

I saw Silent Hill on TV the other day - similar sort of story to The Mist, but its also unrelentingly nasty... in a really unpleasant way. The kind of unpleasantness that doesn't give you the creeps as much as leave a nasty taste in your mouth afterwards.

It also has crazy religious church people... What's up with that.

Silent Hill really captured the imagery of the games, and the music was identical; but that last third of the movie - ouch! Completely destroyed what the first two thirds had been building up to. Probably the one instance where a script would have been better off staying faithful to the games than trying to come up with a more original story.

The ending was pretty good I thought (the very end, not the gore-fest in the church)

Yeah, it was just the inclusion of the religious crazies - that whole part of the storyline - that jarred.

I was talking to a mate of mine about that - why its always crazy christians you see in movies, rather than crazy jews or muslims. Hollywood has a pick and choose approach to religion - never representative, only sensationalist.

We saw "The Hoax" on Saturday and that movie was surprisingly good. Not complicated as I thought it was going to be but very entertaining and hilarious. Very good movie.

And yesterday we saw "Munich", oh my gosh it was soooooooo freaking good. Very, very good movie. Highly recommend it.

Yeah, that movie looked bad even in the commercials and they're supposed to show the best parts.
