I was able to get the number off the back of my processed check today and I was able to enter that in my profile at USCIS.

I was able to pull up the status:

Thats the date I mailed it, it go their the 26th so by the middle of next week it should be in the system I hope!

My I-130 was received in Chicago on 12/8/2007, my check was cashed today 2/1/2008. Hopefully, our NOA1 will show up in the mail shortly. I've never been happier to see $355 disappear from my checking account.

Wow. They must have been injected with caffeine or something. I'm not about to complain though! My received date of 12/26/2007 should now be processed! Yay!

Anyone know how to file your tax returns??? Married filling separately? What about if she is working in the other country and paying taxes there?

It seems like we might have to fill out a 1040NR but I'm not to sure. I don't see the point in it.

It seems like we might have to fill out a 1040NR but I'm not to sure. I don't see the point in it.

I think you can file a joint filing. I am going to my accountants to work this out after work today. We are also applying for an ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) so that we can have joint bank accounts. Our bank wont do joint accounts without either a SSN or an ITIN.

I will let you know what I find out tonight.
