The representative on the phone said try two weeks, but my understanding is its quicker than that. Do you have an updated document that Lotsofpatience created? the one i printed was last modified in 7/2/08.

I'm not sure what document you are referring to. I assume that you mean some way of getting through NVC quicker, but I didn't use anything special. Just downloaded the forms and filled them out and paid online. I do know there are some shortcuts like emailing the choice of agent form but we didn't use those. The paying online really speeds things up though.

You have to ask them for your IIN (Invoice Identification Number). Some of the NVC reps will not give it to you and others will. I was lucky as I just asked about paying online and they gave it too me, although they warned that the system still had some issues at that time (was a while ago). Then you go here: https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx and logon with that info. :)
