They seem to be doing some restructuring of theyre system. Everything stopped and my husband just got an email from them about an email he sent 2 weeks ago! It just said they got his email. WOW. I am thinking the whole big "rush/flood" online payment thing put a chink in the nvc chain hahaha and they had to fix or catch up with some things. Hopefully soon it will speed ahead :thumbs:

Yeah December has stopped completely, now Jan/Feb getting the go, and we are getting ze shaft

It sure does feel like those filed in 2007 got the shaft! I see so many Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, and even a May got approved!!! The process is so screwed up. Some people are luckier than others I guess. USCIS sucks!!

This is ###### ridiculous!

They might have lost our files!!!

Restructuring is never good when your file is the test subject :)

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. Ted and Emma, could you tell me what your DS-3032 date was?

I feel horrible right now, I called the automated system to see if they finally entered my I-864 in and found out that I am getting an RFE. I have been trying to talk to a human at the NVC for the last two hours to find out what the RFE is for. I included everything they asked for, even the optional stuff. I didn't require assets to be counted either. :( I know that you guys can understand how I feel right now. I was looking forward to my wife being able to move here by late September but the message on the RFE says that even after they get it back with my additional evidence it will take them 6 to 8 weeks to decide on it. :( We had been hoping for a late July or early August interview date. :( It just makes me want to cry, I haven't seen my wife since early March. :(

You and I have a similar timeline - and last week I called NVC to see if my DS-230 was on its way - and I had an RFE too! I also tried to speak with someone for hours on end - finally spoke with a lady and she said it was nothing, they're waiting for the DS-230 to be returned, and my tax info and payments were fine. Whew. That was a relief.

If your file is like mine, then perhaps you DS-230 has been mailed, and they're waiting for you to return it. And FYI, when I got home, the DS-230 was in the mailbox. I shouldn't have assumed the worst!

If your file is like mine, then perhaps you DS-230 has been mailed, and they're waiting for you to return it. And FYI, when I got home, the DS-230 was in the mailbox. I shouldn't have assumed the worst!

Yeah, it really is quite unnerving to hear the words "...missing or incomplete information...", I am glad you got your DS-230 packet and I hope the rest of your process goes smoothly! :)

Glad to hear you got things cleared up regarding the RFE.

Man... Makes me nervous now.

Recieved NOA1...........Febuary 13th 2008

Received NOA2 approval email........May 1st 2008

NVC

May 6th 2008 : NVC received & case# generated

May 15th 2008 : NVC generated & mailed DS 3032 & AOS Fee Bill

May 28th 2008 : DS 3032 Sent (E-mailed / Auto Response)

June 4th 2008 : AOS shows PAID on website, THEN REJECTED twice

June 11th 2008 : AOS bill finally accepted. Shows PAID on website.

June 25th 2008 : Paid $400.00 IV Bill

June 26th 2008 : IV Bill shows PAID on website.

June 30th 2008 : Mailed DS-230 package to NVC.

July 11th 2008 : Called NVC. Automated message stated CASE COMPLETE!

August 8th 2008: Called NVC and spoke with operator. She stated Sept 29th at 9am is when the interview is scheduled for.

Sept 29th 2008: Wife had interview. Medical exam was about to expire before our flight so we had to get another one. Mailed it in to the embassy and got wife's visa a few days later in the mail.

Oct. 20th 2008: Wife, daughter and myself arrive back in America. POE took a whole 10 or 15 minutes.

Oct. 21st - forever: Happy to be with my wife and baby girl.

Ted and Emma, could you tell me what your DS-3032 date was?

Ok, more updates on the RFE. I just got it in the mail and its because we haven't mailed in our DS-230 packet yet. #######? We haven't even received it from them yet!!! :( I asked when it would be here when I talked to them about the RFE and they said it should be soon. Why am I getting an RFE about it? I also have to wonder if this will slow their processing once we get the packet and send it back in as it is now based on an RFE? Also they mention an OF-230-I as missing. Is that the DS-230? It has both numbers in the RFE but I have only seen reference of it once before and thought it was an old designation for the DS-230. Are they actually two different forms? Of course they aren't there on the weekends so I have to wait until Monday to call and find out what the hell is going on. FYI, the DS-230 packet was supposedly mailed May, 20th this RFE was mailed June, 4th and I got it today, June, 7th. How are they mailing the DS-230 packet that it still isn't here? 18th class? Are they routing it through Timbuktu? Maybe its on the Phoenix lander? It sure the hell isn't here though. :( We are waiting on the packet because my wife can't get her police certificate or a copy of her family registry unless she has an official paper from the NVC stating that it is required. :( This just pisses me off! :(

Sorry for the rant all! :( If you know the answers to any of the questions in there I would appreciate if you could post them! :)

An RFE is a Request for Evidence. If you get one it means you left some piece of info out, made a mistake, or they require additional info about something based on what you submitted.

thanks for the RFE clarification.

June 3rd they approved my husbands e-mailed 3032 and I meant that I will send the DS-230 as soon as my online payment is accepted and the barcode is generated. Today the bill for the IV is "in process" You know I am kind of confused by this process LOL! I mean I submitted the I-130 packet and $355 payment in Dec 07 with all of the the same supporting docs they are asking for in sections now at NVC. The AOS & visa application and all proof of mariage and relationship pictures "yadda yadda" It just seems like they could forward everything to the NVC from USCIS to avoud alot of paperwork and save the trees too. What gives in this process?????? and why do we have to pay $400 for the exact same Visa application? It's still in the USA. It's like paying twice for the same burger & fries. Once to the guy who took your order and again to the guy who bags it up and you cooked it yourself!

Thanks martiniolive, I will update that when I get home tonight.

I agree about the fees, its ridiculous. I believe that all of the supporting evidence you sent does get forwarded from USCIS to the NVC and then to the consulate/embassy. Though it does seem a bit silly to have to send in more evidence. And don't forget to bring even more when you go for the interview. :/

Anyway, there are plenty of worse things then having to send some more photos and such. Just remember that it is perfectly acceptable to black out private bits in letters and emails that you supply as evidence. I try to avoid sending something that is very private in the first place but if you start running out of those then you really don't have much choice. I don't think they really care about the content anyway, more the fact that you sent it. Thats just my opinion though.

Anyway, once you sent your DS-230 and they enter it let me know so that I can update your timeline. :)
