Applying for Advance Parole

Hey everyone,

I'm a little confused about the advance parole application.

How do I specify my travel dates if I have none? (I simply want the permission, in case I have a need to travel before receiving green card).

Also, what can I say in the letter where I explain what circumstances warrant issue of advance parole? Is it enough for me to say that I just want the ability to travel to Canada while waiting for Green Card, in the event of a family emergency? Or do they need something more specific?

Is this document typically approved?

Any help anyone can provide is greatly appreciated.

You can list "multiple entries" instead of a specific date; I think we wrote something like "family members still residing in Canada; requesting Advance Parole in the event of emergency" in the description. There was a post awhile back on this, and the example form is good...I'll look for the post!

We put that we wanted to visit family members and friends in Canada and indicated multiple entries.

Advance Parole is almost always granted, you don't need an urgent reason to get it.

I just put that I have family in Canada and if an emergency arose I'd need to return and dates and length of time required are unknown
