Good morning,

Just wanted to say THANKS to all those that replied to my post yesterday. This is a vaulable website and I feel like park of the family already.

(1) How long did many of you know your fiance or fiancee before starting the filing process (K-1)?

(2) My fiancee was arrested a few years ago, but was never charged with anything. Both parties that were involved agreeged to stay away from each other. He was never fingerprinted, but had to appear before a magistrate. He's being advised not to discolse this, but I think he should. An arrest means that you were detained for a certain period of time, even if you were not charged with a crime. (Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I understand it).

(3) He lives in Montego Bay...is it better for him to do his physical in Kingston or in Montego Bay. I have a few friends who had problems with the results getting back from MoBay in time for the interview.

Thanks,

Trelawny

Big up all my MARYLANDERS and those from Washington, D.C. (EAST COAST) filers.

No, not having doubts. I love him very much...just wondering if it will have any impact on how, when or if the petioned is approved. I'll let him know it's okay to do it in mobay, since the place is right across the street from where he lives; and I agree with you, I think it's best to tell everything. Thanks for your reply.

Lawny,

I agree wid Brownie. Nothing ventured is nothing gained. I was with my Fiance, Ken for eight months when I finally filed for him. But, I was honestly ready to file in March 2007. But friends and family got in my head and I held off! I honestly regret that move. Because if I would have followed my heart and mind, Ken would be here by now! Do in your heart what you feel is best!

I believe it was William Shakespere that wrote "Better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved at all!"

As far as the Police record, I think you should be alright as long as there is no formal charge of misconduct or felony.

My Fiance lives in MoBay also. He will be going through MoBay Hope for his medical! I had a few recent VJ Yardies that went through MoBay Hope and they didn't have any issues with the medical getting to Kingston on time (Bwoy, I hope I didn't just jinx miself! )

Blessed,

Gill

I knew my husband for just over a year and a half when we filed.

He will have no reason to lie. He will HAVE to have a police record. It will either say something on there or not. I wouldn't SAY a thing. Let the record speak and then explain if you have to.

Andre went to MoBay hope. We had no issues. He even went to a clinic before then to have the shots done before the medical.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Thank you. You must have been reading my mind. I wanted to ask if it was okay to get the shots in advance. That's my thought also on the arrest issue. I told him only to answer, if they ask. Did you attend his interview? One more thing, the packet that he received from NVC, how did he know that his packet was at Kingston? How was he notified? Okay. Now, my head hurts. I have more questions, but can't think of them now. Thanks for your help, again.

Now, i remember, I'm a NATURALIZED US citizen. Wonder if anyone here has an experience with that.

Trelawny.
