Hey everyone. just got an email that the chicago lockbox center is now processing petitions sent in on Oct.09,07. Alllllllright! About time! That was FAST! They were just processing the September apps only a few days ago, if one day at that. Geez.

I sent mine in on Dec. 11 (received) so I am hoping that it will be getting some "touching and feeling" action in the next two weeks. hahaha. Yeah, I miss my hubby. Can you tell? lol.

Hope this little tidbit helps those that are affected by the LOCKBOX from H.E Double Sticks.

Tootles.

Last thing I saw they would maybe be caught up by the end of February, not January. Thought that would be nice it is highly unlikely. In fact, with their track record I would be surprised if they are caught up by the end of Feb. :/

OH MAN!!! looks like i lose my cat!!! ok who wants her?

actually when i said they would be caught up i was referring to only I-130's i read on the uscis website they would be caught up by end of January with these. i will try to find the link again. HOWEVER,!! if you notice the progression since December 31 they have been actually getting through about 1 month every week!!! at that rate they would be finished with December by first week of February, also they have been updating almost every day and all other centers have been removed from that page except for Chicago..They ARE actually making respectable prgress we are all in the same boat let's try to be positive people and when our journeys are complete we can look back and have fond memories of the journey.

Since there hasn't been an update since Friday on the Chicago Lockbox processing dates, we made a call to USCIS today. So, here's the highlights of the latest story....not all of the yet to be recipted I-130's went to Chicago...apparently the backlog at the Service Centers was such a mess, that they were unable to locate/send all the I-130's received over to the Lockbox....they think about half went from Nebraska....and she confirmed that as they have long since lost track of date order, some applicants that filed months after we did could receive their NOA1 long before we do. Very disappointing. Also, in our 2 previous conversations with USCIS, staff have been courteous...not so, today..very unpleasant person on the line.

oh my, just when we had our hopes up that we were close being on the system.....

Sorry to hear that but at least its news of some sort. Though how they could loose track of the order is interesting. They should all have a postal stamp from the post office stating the date. And you would think they would be in bins with the date on the bin. But this is the USCIS so I guess I am not that surprised at the incompetence. :(

I hope you will get your NOA1 soon, and they should seriously send an apology letter with it. :/

jeca, I just noticed that too and was about to post it. :)

At least they seem to be making progress, it will be another week or two before 12/24/2007 is done. Then hopefully I will see an NOA1 coming not too long after that. :)

I noticed that there aren't many of you who sent your I-130 in December so applications should be processed more quickly. My husband sent ours in January and I want to be informed well about everything so i keep on checking if there are some new updates.Hope u get your Noa1 sooner than u think!

If all of us worked at their pace we'd be back at stone age.

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

None I know of, but there was a post on another thread from someone who filed Oct. 31 and last week (Jan 17) received their NOA1 from California, so it does seem to confirm that not all I-130's waiting to be receipted went to Chicago or are being receipted there. Our date is 11/21/07, so lets keep in touch when either of us see any signs of things happening.
