In preparation for Lucia arriving I've been remodelling the bathroom which is kind of overdue.

I was ripping up the floor with a hammer and chisel....it had little b@stard 1 inch tiles. Anyway, I hit myself in the hand 5 times with a hammer, and I have to say it really felt........good!!!! hahahaha! Oh yeah, I feel like a man baby! Check out those bruises! When I get home today, I get to break a cabinet! I hope I get a nail in the foot or something.

Hurts so good......

Hey Merc take it easy the nurse is not here yet for your boo boos.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

The brightside is that it sounds like your subfloor is solid. Keep up the good work.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Noooooo.......the trick when doing home improvement is to drink a lot while you are doing it. That way, when you do something stupid like hit yourself in the hand with a hammer....it doesn't really hurt that bad.

So what will the end result look like?

It's going to be awesome....

Burnt orange on one wall and a.....well.....malt type color on the other walls. All of the fixtures will be in silver (which I know Lu loves). The toilet and new vanity will be against the burnt orange wall and they will great against that color.

The new bathtub is a three piece unit that we put in the other day. I also have a "over the john" cabinet that will hang....uh....above the toilet. I purchased silver towel racks and TP holder to match everything else.

The floor is tile and pulls out some of the orange and malt color......which also happens to be colors in the sweet shower curtain I bought. The curtain is primarily a rich red color with burnt orange and other thin stripes of colors such as purple and brown. It's really cool....can't wait until it is done.

Nah....I hammer better when I'm drunk. I can imagine chiseling one inch floor tile and being sober. That job really sux, let me tell you.

The more you drink, the less they hurt......trying them on or spending the money?

"But can you hammer a 6" spike through a 2X4 with your #######?"

thats the real question

as to the flooring... lucky bastid!

Funny......I happen to have some 6" spikes and some 2X4's....hmmm....
