CSC to NVC... still waiting

Hello Everyone and Happy New Year!

I'm frustrated with how slow this next step is going. We received our NOA2 approval from California (CSC) on December 3rd. and as of January 7th we are still waiting for it to arrive at the NVC. Anyone with a similar experience? At what point do we wonder if it's lost somewhere? I guess CSC is slow with these things compared to other service centers, but this is really delaying. grr.

Any ideas?

Ours took a month to reach the NVC. Once you factor in the Christmas and New Years holidays, you aren't too far off the month mark.

The have a new shipping system at the CSC now where they toss peoples files into a cargo bin. The bin doesn't get shipped out until it's full. So if you are tossed into a new bin, you have to wait a bit until your file gets sent out.

we're in the same position... NOA2 December 6, and it's still not at NVC

I'm mildly annoyed, but not worried... I'm sure it will get there soon

Check my timeline, mine took almost 2 months from CSC to NVC. It will get there but they say to allow up to 90 days. Hopefully it won't take that long!! Good luck!

We were approved 11/30/2007 and I cant even get through on the phone lines at NVC it just kicks me back out to the automated system This is Ridonkulous.....

Well here is the response my OH got from NVC so maybe it is just as well you can't get through

Jackass at NVC proceeded to have a small go at me for calling so early

and to give it at least 4 weeks. He asked me for the notice date and

then had a nice little 'That's way too early. You need to wait at least 4

weeks.' and then told me not to call back before January 15th, and

even then not to expect anything and that it could take up to 90 days. I

felt like I was talking to USCIS again for crying out loud - well,

except of course I wasn't trying to get anything more than 'we haven't got

it yet.'

And then again I'm particularly sensitive when it comes to people

getting cross at me over the phone:P Ah well. Why can't they add it to their

automated system - it's not like I'm looking for anything particularly

special, just 'Have you flipping got it yet?? Great, you got it! Have

you flipping sent it off yet??'

Guess we're already in the same crate or whatever - good thread though to keep track as it means if one of us hears something then maybe we'll all get lucky...

From my horrifying experience with CSC, I URGE you to call them everyday! I finally had to call a supervisor after I had been told that our documents had gone to the NVC only to learn they had been sitting under someone's coffee cup as CSC for 1 MONTH!!!! When the supervisor got it it was DHL'd that day! My motto is "if it's to be, it's up to me" With what little control we have during this process----you have to take charge of it everyday, because no one else cares. Don't let them bully you by telling you that you are calling too much. It is your right to call as much as you want.

Oooh - they did?! Well done on finding that out!! How long does it normally take for them to sift through the crate and realise they actually have it!?

Just called to USCIS. they said they have sent my case to NVC on 2nd of Jan.

My NOA2 was received on 19th December (email). Do you think the rest of the July lot would also be in that shipment?
